Hop on hop off bus tour

Terrible company, Use the rival red company buses and boats! I was here with my girlfriend and we picked up 72hr passes. They are actually good for the full day the day they end. I recommended the 24hr as it will work all day on the final day — thus it’s a 2 day pass. We obviously weren’t told this vital fact!

Eigentlich ist eine Hop-​on hop-​off tour das Beste um eine Stadt zum ersten Mal zu erkunden, ausgenommen in Stockholm. Der Bus bleibt alle paar Meter stehen, die Infos über Kopfhörer sind die schlechtesten welche ich je über eine Stadt bekommen habe.
Einziger Pluspunkt, man kann sich mit dem ticket 24 std lang zu und von den busstationen herumfahren lassen.
Nicht sehr empfehlenswert!

Having done these tours all over the world, I find them to be a great way to get orientated to new cities that I am visiting. And depending on what type of pass you buy-​they can also function as your public transportation while you are in town as they have plenty of stops around the city.
This one in Stockholm not only has a series of buses but also a combination bus/​boat pass that will take you around the harbor as well.
The tours are done in several languages (all taped) so you don’t have to go on a certain bus. The downside to this is some of the local banter you might find in some cities that actually employ a guide to do the tour in various languages gets lost so this is highly functional if not personable.
The people selling the tickets are very helpful in making sure you get on the right bus. In fact– one of the people was very distraught that our bus was late requiring us to wait an additional 30 minutes for the next bus. She kept coming over to check on us but the bus finally did arrive and the tour went on without a hitch.
If there is a downside it’s that they kept changing buses and boats so you had to switch mid tour as the buses/​boats were going off duty but that was probably a timing thing.
Know that your purchased ticket is good for two full days so the price gets a little more reasonable when you think of all the ways you can utilize this service.
The best deal us the combo boat and blue line which also gets you the green line. The boat tour takes about an hour and the blue line takes about 1,5 hours (assuming you ride it straight through with no hopping off). It’s a great way to see the whole city and I know some people who come in on the cruise ships use this as a quick way to see all of Stockholm as well.
The green line is seasonal and picks up off the blue line but it also includes a boat ride to the Royal Haga. Ask your driver for the times because in order to catch the boat there is a deadline.
All in all a high level overview of the city and what it has to offer.
