Swedish micro roaster Johan & Nyström added their second location at Arlanda Airport in the domestic terminal They offer 2 options for hand brews(usually one African and one from South America or Asia) as well as espresso based and batch brew. The staff here are perhaps not the same type of experts as at the showroom they have in the center but still can manage a good cup of coffee and for some reason this location delivers better quality than the one in Terminal 2. I usually opt for Aeropress as it is difficult to screw that up and the beans used are good. The prices are airport prices so not cheap but I would rather pay a bit more and get some quality. They also offer the same selection of sandwiches and pastries as in terminal 2.

This Johan & Nystrom is a bit disappointing, but it is definitely miles over the rest of the coffee they serve at the airport. This location is right at the entrance(or exit) of the terminal so you can’t miss it. If you need a nice break before going to queue, this place has lots of seats, some pastries, and most importantly: coffee, coffee, coffee.

We swung by to get some breakfast while waiting to board our flight. I didn’t catch the barista’s name, but he was the friendliest barista I have ever encountered! It totally made our day. He enthusiastically presented the various roasts of whole bean coffee available to purchase and was all around a pleasure to deal with. Maybe we got the special American tourist treatment? Prices seemed to be a bit on the high side, but I don’t think they were abnormal for an airport. The cinnamon bun was the only we tried during our visit to Sweden, so I can’t compare, but I rather enjoyed it. Not as sweet as the American counterpart, which I appreciated. The black coffee was good. The shop offers a nice seating area where you can peacefully enjoy your coffee or sit and people watch.

I have been here a few times. The sandwiches are ok. Terminal 4 doesn’t have much to offer. And this is one of the only options for decent food. With thy being said. It is way overpriced.(Even for Sweden) . the coffee insists upon itself Both times I’ve been here the service has been lackluster. Lacking friendliness . Try your like a few shops over at the café next to the Boston themed sports bar. Colbee out.
