Booked this hotel for location in spite of some negative reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. Yes the casino is tacky and the lobby is dated but the corridors and our room were very fresh and clean. Everything worked, AC was great, great view of Med and Roman amphitheater and we slept great. No complaints here.

Pro: location, close to the beach. Seaview — if they give you a room to the front.
Contra: poor ambiance, neon lit reception, rooms just as the whole hotel need renovation. Bed uncomfortable. If you have a room to the back side — forget about sea view. Rooms also noisy — you can hear every word from somebody in the hallway.
We didn’t try any food.
There are better places in Tarragona.

Excelente habitacion, servicio y vistas, un poco caro pero siempre hay buenas ofertas online. Y si quieres probar suerte en el casino ahi mismo tienes uno. Recomendable.

In October 2008, we stayed at the Husa Imperial Tarragona for a fabulous four nights stay, it is in a prime location over looking the sea and the magnificent amphitheatre. The rooms are modern and comfortable with a mini bar, hair dryer, in room safe. Staff were very helpful, and spoke adequate English. The highlight of the hotel was the magnificent breakfast, the light and airy breakfast room was adorned with tables of fresh and dried fruit, a choice of cereals, breads, pastries, cold meats and cheese, hot bacon, eggs, sausage, a variety of oils and sauces including the Catalonian Romesco sauce. delicious, and an abundance of fruit choices, teas and coffees.
