Tryp Bosque

Im Großen und Ganzen ein gepflegtes Hotel, es könnte aber hier und da etwas nachgebessert werden.
Die Zimmer sind geräumig, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. Flachbildferseher mit Sendern in diversen Sprachen, gefüllte Minibar, Safe, Leselampen und ausreichend Steckdosen. Balkon auf dem man gut sitzen kann. Das Bad etwas eng, besonders, wenn hier 2 Leute ihre Utensilien unterbringen wollen. Es ist etwas hellhörig, so dass man hin und wieder Geräusche aus den benachbarten Zimmern wahrnimmt. Bei den Zimmern zum Innenhof (Poolbereich) ist ein Mittagsschläfchen bei offenem Fenster eher schwierig.
Im Frühstücksraum ist es laut und eng. Bei vollem Haus wird mit Mehrzwecktischen und –stühlen aus den Konferenzräumen ergänzt, was das Ambiente nicht gerade hebt. Das Frühstücksbuffet selbst ist sehr gut bestückt und wird laufend aufgefüllt.
Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam.
Alles in allem für ein zwei Nächte ok, für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde ich beim nächsten mal ein anderes Hotel probieren.

The Tryp or Sol hotels are relibable, having used them in Lisbon, Porto, Madrid, Sevilla, and Gran Canaria. Something went terribly wrong here. It wasn’t the room, which wasn’t bad. It wasn’t the location, which was close to the seaside promenade. It wasn’t the breakfast buffet, which was fully acceptable. And it wasn’t the parking, easily found on the street within 1 or 2 blocks, and for free. It’s a nice little hotel on a quiet street above the palm-​lined waterfront, so it is somewhat appealing.
It was the front desk. One had to deal with the sullen and arrogant wannabee matadors on EACH of the shifts. Like I said, every other Sol Melia property I’ve used, regardless of branding, is very professional and concerned about making the customer happy. At this hotel, they were curt, not helpful with directions and recommendations, seemed put out, and lastly, upon check out, had the tab figured at a different price. Fortunately, I kept all the downloads from the Sol Melia site pointing out the rate that I was to receive. The Antonio Banderas-​alike on the morning shift, who probably thought it was beneath him to be working there, seemed perturbed as he adjusted the computer record /​paper work to conform to the internet price. What a jerk!
I would gladly stay at another Tryp or Sol hotel owned by Sol Melia, but NOT this one! For some reason, though, the attitude found in Palma de Mallorca is not what one gets in Spain’s Andalusia region, on their Canary Islands, or even in bustling Madrid. The caliber of service and attitude on this Balearic island is, overall, less favorable.
