Cafe Modelo

This place is so huge and always packed, at first I didn’t really now why.
I ordered a beer and a toast and didn’t get why everyone else is here, but after someone explained to me, how this place works, I totally get it now and it’s one of my favourite places.
Going for desert basically is the thing to do, before you go here (or even during) you just go to the shop 2 – 3 shops on the right of it, which offers a variety of cake and other sweet stuffs and all of it is really really cheap, average cake price is like 1.20 €.
Then you just bring the cake to the café, order a coffee, beer or whatever you wanna drink and enjoy the time :)
Best thing is the opening hours of the cake shop, on weekends is easily possible to get a cake at 23:00, so in combination with the place close to it, it’s really awesome and that’s how to «use» this place ! :)

Auf der Suche nach unserem Abendessen sind wir dann hier vorbei gelaufen und haben uns draußen hingesetzt. Es war relativ voll, vielleicht auch wegen der Fußball Übertragung ;)
Wir wurden relativ schnell bedient aber mussten dann eine gefühlte Ewigkeit darauf warten bis man die Bestellung aufnahm. Das Essen (Pasta) war ansprechend hergerichtet worden aber von der Menge her leider nicht sehr viel. Da hätte die gleiche Menge auch noch eingepasst.
Zum zahlen mussten wir uns auch wieder in Geduld üben. Als wir endlich zahlen konnten, dachten wir schon das Rückgeld kommt gar nicht mehr. Als in allem wish nur Durchschnitt.

Great sidewalk café for an early afternoon drink, coffee or snack. The prices are reasonable and the staff was efficient. Free wifi code is printed on the receipt.
