I’ve had churros con chocolate here, Café Fútbol, and Rey Fernando and I prefer these, when it comes to getting them in Granada. The chocolate is thick and more chocolate-y than the others and the churros are thick and doughy, which is how I like them. For 4 euros, they’re superb! The portions are HUGE though, so be careful to not eat them before an actual meal.

Ugh we got tricked!!! Apparently every dessert place in Granada is called the Alhambra. The Unilocal reviews and pictures are for the Alhambra in Plaza de bib, NOT this place on Gran Via. The Gran Via one served us hot chocolate from a box. I don’t even know if they sell churros. The Plaza de Bib one is relatively better but still not as good as what we had in Barcelona.

It took me a few minutes to decide whether to rate this as two or three stars. Here’s why: The good: It was close to our hotel. The owner/manager/guy behind the counter was friendly. English not so good, but he was friendly(my Spanish is so-so). The place was clean with a decent bathroom. The hot chocolate hit the spot and warmed me up, the accompanying churros did the same. The not-so-good: None of the food was fresh — they make none of it here. The churros were simply heated up and served. The same with the hot chocolate… it was chocolate and it was hot. But in a city — heck, in a country — where you can get some of the finest(don’t forget thick!) hot chocolates and *fresh* churros, this simply falls way short. But, I guess in a touristy city(or at least a touristy part of town), you’ll get the less-than-stellar stuff. Still, I was happy to come here, rest my feet, warm up and receive service with a smile. So there’s that.

Came highly recommended by a local friend and lived up to it. We got a huuuuuuuuuuge pile of churros a with 2 cups of chocolate and they were all gone before we knew it. This is now my new fried dough joint.

Wow… the best churros I have had in a long time. This place is in the most touristy area but well worth the visit for the delicious churros and the hot chocolate to dip thin into. The hot chocolate was more like hot chocolate pudding… not the liquify stuff we Americans drink back home… this was thick and it stuck to the churros. My mouth is watering just thinking about this snack. The order was huge… three of us ordered two serving… that means 10 churos! Apparently you can order half portions but of course the server did not tell us that. Regardless… just go there to eat those churros! You won’t regret it.

Volle Punktzahl!!!
