Restaurant Poncho’s has been around for a long time and in this area means that they are doing something right. Poncho’s has an excellent varied menu with many of the dishes you expect in an Argentine grill. I visited recently in August and we sat outside on the terrace which has recently been improved and was quite comfortable. Booking is recommended in high season. Being an Argentine grill, well you don’t go there for a salad(although they do have these on the menu) — a few starters and a mixed grill. We ordered a mixed grill and a half which was more than enough for our family of five. Quality of meat was excellent(as you would hope) although our rare meat did not have as much sear as I would expect, nevertheless very tasty. They serve the meats on a heated platter which tends to broil the meat a little in the juices. The Chorizo and Morcilla(black pudding) were excellent. House wines was fine and served at the right temperature. Service was very good and staff were attentive and friendly. The meal cost about 125 € with the tip which is a little on the high side but I consider reasonable value. They charge for bread which annoys me a bit but that is me being picky.
