In the small Pueblo of Falset, which is the gateway to the Priorat, is a wonderful and unassuming restaurant called Hostal Sport. It is in the Michelin Guide but appears to be unrated. What sets this restaurant apart from many that Americans will visit is that it offers plates of Goat and Rabbit along with more traditional(American) fare. The goat was simply amazing and was cooked a Vermouth reduction sauce. The rabbit was served with a mushroom sauce and also tasted like it has a touch or vermouth imbued within the sauce. To start the meal we had a wonderful shrimp salad and the meal was finished with chocolate ice cream saturated with chocolate chips and a dark chocolate sauce. The service was top notch and the restaurant was full of locals enjoying a great meal. To accompany the meal I ordered a 1998 cabernet sauvignon(wine from the last century!) and it was the perfect touch to a fantastic lunch.
