Lizarran

Un lizarran nada del mundo, nada que ver con los otros que he estado, supongo que será porque está en el aeropuerto y tampoco tiene tanta afluencia de gente. Está un poco apartadillo y por el rato que llevo aquí, no hay mucha gente. Los montaditos no tienen mucho movimiento y la cerveza me la han servido en vaso de plástico…

Food was just ok. But the folks who worked there don’t speak no English (or at least pretend not to– it’s an international airport!!) and hustled me into getting some tapas which were supposed to be part of an offer, but when you reached the counter, the story was different. I don’t care about the money, but the principle of swindling a tourist left a sour taste! If you are proud of what you make, take the time to offer the best. Not like they were 15 people waiting behind me either. It was just me! Please hire down staff who speak a little English. Please!!!

If you really need to eat in Barcelona airport you have a choice between Lizarran, Costa, Pans & Co and McDonald’s.
Of the choices you have, this one is probably one of the better ones. It’s pricey compared to what you would find in the city but then all airport food is pricier than city equivalents.
The food is decent enough and it’s nice sitting outside if you happen to be there when it’s warm and sunny. The inside part isn’t so nice and they could do a bit better at keeping it clean.

Für uns ist «Lizarran» an Barcelonas Airport El Prat de Llobregat ein liebgewonnener Ort, um die letzten Minuten vor dem Abflug am Gate zu verbringen.
Strategisch in bester Lage, direkt am Panoramafenster mit Blick auf das rege Treiben auf dem Rollfeld und nur wenige Schritte entfernt von den Abfluggates, kann sich der Fluggast hier an einer kleinen Bar niederlassen und einen letzten spanischen Snack genießen.
Für uns ist es inzwischen Tradition, uns aus Barcelona mit einer Sechs-​Euro-​Kombi zu verabschieden. Für 6 € dürfen wir uns 3 Tapas (bueno: eigentlich sind’s eher Pintxos) unserer Wahl aussuchen, kleiner Vino dazu. Tapas heißt schmackhafte kleine Weißbrotscheiben, köstlich belegt z. B. mit Lachs, Salat und Ei, Roastbeef und anderem mehr.
Ein Tipp für die, die an Bord keine Verpflegung erwarten dürfen: man darf alles mit an Bord nehmen, dann gibt’s den Wein eben einfach im Plastikbecher auf die Faust.
Lecker, preiswert, katalanisch!

One of the better choices I was told while at Barcelona airport. Worth a try if you want to eat Basque food in Barcelona.
You choose your pintxos out of container as part of their combo meal which includes a drink.
Not the best I’ve had, but I wouldn’t mind stopping by again next time at the Barcelona airport.
