If you are going to Lanzarote for a few days you will definitely want to rent a car unless you plan on taking tour buses around the island (which can be fine, but restricting).
Autos Feber gives a great included rate for the entire week and their service is very good. We paid about 160 EUR for 1 week with everything included (insurance included). We got a slightly dated Suzuki compact, but it drove nicely and was in great condition.
Overall I would highly recommend their service.
