McDonald’s Springleaf

Not a fan of the ultimate symbol of mass produced food. But it was late, I was tired and I did not want to cook that ramen that has been sitting in my room for weeks. So reluctantly I stopped by this Maccas on the way to the Tanjong Pagar subway station from me office.
«I think I’ll design my own burger» I said to myself. A girl looked over her shoulder to make sure that I wasn’t a nut job. Two patties, swiss cheese, bunless with tomato slices, lettuce (please let it be anything but iceberg) and mustard. $ 11. Did not look impressive when it came out. Wrap job was very amateurish, everything kind of fell apart after two bites. It was a little too oily for my liking. But it tasted good and it beats eating carb-​laden food that is the theme in this part of the world.
I’d return but I’ll make sure I tell the enthusiastic head server that I want it less oily, with more lettuce and wrapped tightly!

Success! I get to be the first person to review this place! I guess this is what it must feel like to be the queen of England! Anyways, I love this place and I feel no shame in saying that. Well, at least in Singapore. In the states you pretty much justify why you ever eat/​ate McDonald’s. Well, not here my friend! Like I was saying, this place is always poppin’. That’s slang for this place is the bees knees/​the hippest place on the block/​where the party is at ²⁴⁄₇! Literally! This place never closes and currently for Chinese New Year they have the best/​only curly fries aka Prosperity fries in town! Curly fries, say what?!? I go in, ask for a large order of the Prosperity fries, and say «hold the ketchup»… Because these fries are that good! Crazy, right? I know!
