Soooo good! We ate here 3x while in Vieques! Cuban was the best! Nachos were amazing also! Alba was the best bartender, we did not want to leave!

We had two of the specials here: the seafood with rice and the steak. The rice was delicious cooked with coconut milk and soy sauce, but the fish on the plate was small. The steak was OK. Their cocktails are cheap(5 – 7 bucks) and they have a big beer selection. We liked the lemon coconut rum cocktail.

When in vieques… Duffys is a always there for us. After a long beach day, we fall into ice cold beer, great fish tacos, amazing wings, and attentive service. Their prices are actually lower than the surrounding places and quality is much better(bananas are you listening??)

It’s been four years since my last visit to Vieques and I’m sorry it took that long. Especially with a few new restaurants turning out high quality food options. Even Duffy’s has upgraded their options. We visited here a few times during our 4-day visit and were never disappointed.(Would have checked in but my cell service was spotty and Duffy’s does not give their patrons the wifi code unless you are staying at their hotel. -.5 stars) With healthy food options, and great salads served with fresh lettuce and vegetables, we always had a reason to return. Their burgers were good and appreciated other options as well. The old standby is standing strong.

The sign on the front makes the resturant appear as if they specialize in seafood, most menu items were not seafood. Food wasn’t very warm, server not all that friendly and didn’t seem to care. If you have more than four in your party there is an automatic 18% gratuity. Place is just ho-hum and seems to be a tourist trap.

BBQ ribs were far from perfect. Service was terrible. My family and I did not feel welcome at all. They also auto charge 18% gratuity which is outrageous because the experience was not even close to this amount.

Ordered seafood escabeche and Baja fish taco. I think we ordered the best dishes on the menu… Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars. Both the dishes were good but are in the traditional bar category, good for drinks, not so much for food.

The lobster tail was great and fish & chips were fresh and good, too. Our waiter and other waiters checked on us a few time.

great bar with bar food. this first night we went, it wasn’t so great because there was a wedding party there(a bunch of white people hovering around eating chicken wings and being pushy at the bar). the lack of service wasn’t the bar tenders’ fault, they were just swapped. the next day we went back after a day at the beach and were totally taken care of – by the same bar tender. Very friendly staff, good craft beers and one draught beer(heineken). No wifi, and don’t ask :) over all its a great bar in esperanza.

An easy afternoon spot to sit and relax, look out over the water and have a cocktail. We had the chicken quesadilla and couldn’t get enough of the hot sauce even though it was burning our mouth! One of the best Bloody Mary’s I’ve ever had!

Very disappointing dinner. Service was bad — waiter could hardly speak up to a audible volume, was very slow, and just acted like we were an inconvenience. Probably our worst meal of the trip. I had the Mahi Mahi wrap — very fishy smelling and tasting. Yuck. Portion was average size. The potato salad was ok — I think it had nutmeg in it. My husband had the seafood platter with grouper and shrimp. Super skimpy portions and they fried the heck out of it, to the point it had little to no taste. Blah. With so many other great places to eat and drink here, you can skip this one!

Duffy’s stays open fairly late in Espanoza. We stopped in for a late dinner after Abe’s Biobay tour(which was a truly amazing time). There’s a large bar and a couple of TV’s. We sat at a picnic-style table near the road. My gf raved about her salad, and I had a huge fried snapper. We were pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty the food was. Definitely worth a try while staying on Vieques.

Great view, great chocolate. This accessible and conveniently located restaurant boasts recognisable American thoroughfare. I had a fried fish sandwich which was good, but the real gem is the chocolate brownie chunk cake. Its thick chewy goodness was thoroughly decadent and satisfying, such that I didn’t even care that I probably ate my whole day’s worth of calories during that one meal. There is also a $ 2 local beer.

The food was excellent. Our server however was rude and seemed bothered by our questions of the menu and drinks. We had to ask other server for more drinks and napkins. Our server was sitting down at a table behind us chatting away. When we got our bill my friend was unclear on one of the charges and when she asked her to explain what it was she was so annoyed with us. I suggest sitting at the bar instead of a table. Looked like they had better service.

Another restaurant with great views of the ocean. The crowds of people at the al fresco tables sold us so we signed up. Service was a bit slow, probably due to the volume of people at this popular joint. The conch fritters were a bit too greasy and less flavorful than those offered at other places. Had the pork pasteles special — pork, plantains and yautia wrapped in banana leaf and steamed, served with rice and beans. Unfortunately I found these lacking the amount of pork I expected, and the body and flavor were lacking. Hopefully a better experience for the next trip to this great location on the island.

A professional beer bar, I would call it. It has all kinds of beers around the world in stock and several good cocktails. We also ordered chicken wings along with the alcohol. The bloody marry made me scorch!

OMG. I had the best fish tacos ever at this place. I was hesitant to eat there but I am so glad we did. Don’t get me wrong my hesitancy wasn’t because of the presentation. It’s very clean and you have an amazing view. I just wanted more«authentic cuisine». But I enjoyed everything about my meal here including the drinks. Affordable prices and great portions. Our server was a no nonsense older woman who was pretty awesome. I fell in love with Vieques during this trip and I will go to Duffys every time I visit the island. Oh! And if you like hot sauce give theirs a try :)

I highly recommend stopping in here for lunch. We did before heading to sunbay/media luna/navio beaches. The fish wraps are great, you can sit outside and see the water across the street. I had the tuna wrap of the day, it was fresh and perfectly filling. The house made hot sauce compliments just about everything, it has a kick, so go easy. This is a great, laid back vacationy beach spot. Service is great, people are friendly. I might need to go back today.

This place is great, remember where you are. This is a bar/restaurant on the boardwalk of a tiny island. The servers are laid back, the food is good, and the craft beer selection is equal to none on the island. If you’re expecting white tablecloth service and fancy food, go somewhere else. This is a flip flops and picnic tables kind of place. We enjoyed a great meal there, the fish wrap was probably the best I’ve ever had. We also hung out at the bar for snacks and drinks on several occasions and it was a good time. You meet other travelers, eat some yummy food, and relax like you’re supposed to in that setting.

My fish sandwich was really, really good. They said it was a fresh catch, a blue, green and yellow huge fish, and on the board it said it was a fried big eye deep fried snapper sandwich, with spicy tartar and fries. The bread was really soft and good, with fresh tomato and lettuce. My husband got the fish and chips– it was pieces of grouper fried but I thought it tasted really fishy compared to mine, but it did come with waffle fries which were really good. Fish sandwich is an A+!
