Peace n Loaf

Wow… best. pizza. Review done, but just to elaborate… they use a very light flour because it is without some ingredients that make it heavy. So you don’t feel bloated like you just ate bread. Plus they add hemp seed. The stuffed pizza was SO good. We added mushrooms ;) you can get a side of pesto or marinara to go with it because it has no sauce. Yum! Not too oily like pizza. Just the bomb.

We tried La Contundente with vegan cheese. It was delicious. The music and decoration are very comforting but it was hard to find the place because the sign was small. Other than that, we recommend this place because of such good food and for a vegetarian this is a heaven.

Amazing fresh pizza & the service is Excelente!!! I got a recomendation to this place by WOM & was not expecting much. It is Quality pizza and the dough is super thin, one of the best Ive tried (im from Brooklyn, so thats allot). I love places that are vegetarian friendly not only vegan, since some of my friends dont really appreciate vegan cheese. I can recomend La Mediterranea, Super Veggie and Papa Caliente, always good with some fresh arugula as toping. It’s a little hidden gem, Great ambience, outside of hipster areas. Its serious artesanal pizza with great customer service. If you love pizza, this is a must stop in San Juan.

Best pizza ever!!! We had supermax veggie pizza with turmeric based crust. Never had a more fresh and tasty pizza like this. Lady working there was very helpful and also told us about other places in San Juan area to try food at. Coconut water and lime mint drink were equally good.
We are here for couple more days and sincerely hoping to get a chance to go back to this place before we fly out.

Incredible food! We ordered the super veggie with Daiya and another pizza with the vegan chorizo. Normally we don’t like fake meats, but the chorizo was really tasty! Wish we had it at home. I highly recommend this place to anybody who is in the area.

Wonderful pizza place ! A little hard to find — across the street from the Salvation Army. The pizza was thin and crips. Perfection. Toppings were fresh and plentiful. All vegetarian and vegan menu.

After nearly a week in the more rural areas of Puerto Rico without access to solid vegan food, we trekked a good distance just because Peace n Loaf looked so promising. Parking was a bit confusing — so if you’re going for the first time: yes, you’re going to park on the sidewalk.
We went on a Friday night and Peace n Loaf is clearly loved — the whole time we were there tables were turning over and there was a non-​stop stream of customers picking up multiple pizza’s, many of them also buying a loaf of bread from the basket by the cash. She was helpful and honest in recommendations for our next day in San Juan and steered us towards some great places.
Service, despite the high volume of customers coming and going was great. The owner balanced everything very well and took the time to treat us well and explain our options for the night — which she basically recited from memory, including about a dozen drink options and a half dozen food items not on the menu. We ordered a starter of green banana escabeche, a large La Contundente pizza with the in-​house vegan cheese, and some drinks. Everything was outstanding! On the way out we even got some muffin’s for the next morning.
If I’m ever back in Puerto Rico, I’ll be heading straight to Peace n Loaf as soon as they open. My only regret is that we didn’t have enough time to make it back before we left. So please, go there and enjoy it for me.

This vegetarian pizza has it all taste and good ingredients! I love it! Ive followed this baker for some time now, and really appreciate her passion for good healthy breads and food in general.
The restaurant is sort of hidden from the public eye, yet people seem to find it, for good reason! Word of mouth spreads the existance of this delicious pizza!

This place is awesome! Best crust — best sauce! I only ate pizza once while I was visiting Puerto Rico and I am glad this was the place. Blink and you will miss it — so keep your eyes on the look out! FYI — I believe they are only open Friday, Saturday, & Sunday so plan accordingly.

Pizza made with love. Organic food lovers will crave the different creations offered. Cozy atmosphere, will definitely come back!

This is a destination restaurant for vegans. Perfect pizza crust, Daiya cheese, interesting drinks, friendly people, cozy décor, small games and reading material. Wish I’d had time to visit again.

Suuuuuper! De las mejores pizzas en Puerto Rico, si no la mejor. Es un poco difícil de encontrar porque es bien pequeño el lugar. Pero una vez ahí, es fantástico. Esta pizzería no es solo para vegetarianos, es para todo tipo de paladar. La recomiendo siempre. Tienen pan libre de gluten!!!

Very good pizza! Probably the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. Not obvious to find but definitely worth it. The bread they make is awesome. If you’re vegan, definitely a place to eat, and if you’re not, still a place eat.

It’s a very small place. We had difficulty in finding it as the sign was not visible in the night but once we found it, were happy to eat the pizza.
The food is really very good and vegetarian option is good. They even have vegan cheese;)

Went here directly from SJU airport. Awesome pizza. Awesome people. Better than any pizza I have had in the US. A must try!
