Nice guy, but like all other stores in the area the cigars are way over priced.

We went there at the recommendation of a fellow cruiser. We visited the cigar shop down the street and the staff didn’t even speak to us. We walked into KEK and was greeted by Kumar with a fresh PR cigar and a shot of moonshine. We sat down for a while and smoked a cigar and spoke with the owner for a bit. This place is a must.

Kumar was by far the BEST find we found in Puerto Rico! His gracious hospitality and kindness towards us was beyond anything we could have asked for. We randomly met him at one of his fabulous restaurants on Fajardo, he invited us to his cigar shop/​factory, which we took him up on. After 4 hours in his shop, he took us to his daughters restaurant that is an Indian/​Puertorican infused cuisine, where we were treated like royalty. Amazing food and service I cannot compliment enough! I highly recommend both places in Old San Juan! Tell him LINDSAY and Ken sent you :)

Where do I start? This place is a gem! I stumbled into this place to get out of the rain when in San Juan last year, and I had to make a point to return today. The hospitality alone is worth the stop. Add an incredible cigar selection and moonshine to the mix, and one never wants to leave. This is the kind of place that is welcoming to all people and you are made to feel valued as a customer. It’s absolutely wonderful! Stop in and you’ll understand as some things cannot be described.

My friends and I visited this cigar shop while vacationing in San Juan and had a great experience. Peter explained everything to us and we were able to sit and try the cigars before we purchased them. My friends and I were not knowledgeable in this area but after meeting Peter and trying cigars we learned a lot about cigars and which ones best suite us. Also the owner entered the shop and greeted us as well and provided insight. After our purchased we asked about a hookah bar in the city and Peter informed us that they owned one very close to the cigar shop and offered us free drinks if we mentioned his name and our purchase. We did not make it to the hookah spot but that was a great gesture by Peter. I suggest stopping by just to have the experience if you are visiting San Juan.

Kumar and his daughter Karishna provide absolute great customer service… and the Smoke is one of the best I’ve had. I found myself coming back again and again and now KEK is my Cigar Home. I’ve shared with some friends and now they are coming hooked. Thanks Kumar and Karishna for the quick delivery.

Great selection of cigars and friendly service. I am a cigar novice and often feel out of place in shops like this, since I am expected to know things. This was not the case here.

This place is great. I’ve been twice on work trips. Always greeted by the owner Kamar. I’m a novice with cigars and he always takes the time to help pick out the best cigars for me. Large selection, great vibe and wonderful hospitality. I will definitely be back.

If you’re in old San Juan you have to stop by his shop! He was very helpful and you can sit and smoke the cigars inside. I loved it.

LOVED — LOVED — LOVED this cigar shop. It was on a whim that we went in. I had convinced my husband to check out some cigars while we were in San Juan. He didn’t want to at first, but then changed his mind when he saw this shop.
I am glad that we did. From the first step in, we had a great visit with the owner and his son as well as got our hands on some really nice cigars.
My husband even tried the Peurto Rican cigars, which he was not pleased with the last time he had tried back on the mainland about 10 years ago. He was actually really surprised this time and pleased.
We ended up purchasing quite a few different cigars as well as a few gifts for our neighbors and friends.

We stumbled upon this place while on a cruise. Loved the atmosphere and Kumar was a very good host. Offered us a sample drink and a free sample cigar that was amazing. I live in Houston and I have received my first order from Kumar. The KEK cigars. Fast shipping. I purchased Cuban cigar while I was there but found that the ones he made there were much better and smoother. At least for my taste. So im happy to have a go to cigar guy. I will share my experience with my fellow cigar pals. Funniest thing happened while I was there. I was married 2 years ago and was never comfortable with my tungsten wedding band. Anyway it broke right before my cruise and me and the wife searched high and low to find a good comfortable ring in my size…16. I found it here in a cigar shop in Puerto Rico… I wear it every day now and forget that its even there. Just that comfortable. Wait I got it for 60 bucks a priced at 140.

KEK cigars had a great variety of Cigars. Cigar room is huge with a great variety to choose from. Kumar, was a great host. We had some good conversations and he also gave me a sample of his Moonshine, okay it was more than a sample and it was good. Kumar was helpful in the way he explained when it comes to choosing a Cigar, almost like choosing a bottle of fine wine. I was able to get me a variety pack that I felt was great. I would definitely recommend and also would visit again. KEK also has a selection of fine jewelery anf other trinkets that you would like.

The absolute best cigar bar ever. My friends and I discovered KEK last year and I just had to stop by again this year while I was in San Juan. The owner, Kumar, is SO WONDERFUL. He welcomed us with samples to sit and enjoy along with a local special drink, coconut infused moonshine. (Last visit it was sangria). He has interesting stories about his travels and his family. You truly feel like family when you are here. I will always stop by when I am in SJ. I bought a friend (who is a cigar aficionado) one of the local hand rolled cigars, he said it was great. - (My Unilocal profile pic is in KEK enjoying a sample).

We stumbled upon this shop while perusing through the streets of Puerto Rico. The owner is incredibly nice, and knows his cigars! The hospitality here is unmatched, and the quality and price is unbeatable. After our cruise, we made a point to come back to his shop to purchase more cigars.

That’s funny because in the one photo you can clearly see the fake Cubans as well as a junk cigar with busted wrapper being smoked and sitting in the ashtray. Your place preys on the dumb suckers that roll into town and somehow think they can get Cuban cigars ignorant to the fact that Puerto Rico is a US territory. Fake and/​or illegal cigars are one thing, but the legit ones on your shelves were way over priced and the in store haggling was a bit much. I found a great store right down the street as well as a good manufacturer of great Puerto Rican cigars who have a storefront nearby as well. Sorry, but I won’t be back.
PS: I also just realized you emailed and harassed me last year until I had to block and report you and now you came back with a new account. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
PSS: Also, just noticed Unilocal has only 6 reviews yet there are another 9 reviews they are not counting due to them appearing to be shill comments. Credibility is obviously lacking here. All being members of Unilocal for a long time with only one review, a glowing recommendation for this place and only this place. Can you say shill? Definitely, especially considering one of the comments is left by the owner herself, same girl responding to my review on behalf of the family business. Integrity might not matter to some people, but it does to me and I won’t spend my hard-​earned money someplace that has no honesty or integrity.

This is the must stop for all enthusiasts! Kumar and his daughter treat you like family and will introduce you to some amazing Puerto Rican tobacco and has those hard to find cigars we all search for. You must stop in and say hello to the unofficial ambassador of all things good in Puerto Rico!

I am a beginner when it comes to cigars so I don’t have a lot to compare to. Me and my son walked into this place and went into the humidor and the employee was very pleasant and asked us to try their house cigar and gave each of us a 4″ thin cigar. Thought it was good. I ended up buying 4 of their 5-​paks of the house cigars.

Awesome place! The owner was beyond lovely! Oh did I mention it was a hookah lounge as well!

I’ve been purchasing hte Island Tiger Cigar from Kumar for over a year and its a stick that is many of my friends enjoy. Kumar has been a pleasure to work. Must try the Island Tiger Cigar during your next visit.
