I have to say that I regretfully can give 5 stars to the restaurant but not beacuse of the quality of the food. The food was absolutely superb! I had the shrimp gnocchi and my father had the grilled octopus that came with tostones. The gnocchi was fluffy and light in a creamy sauce and the shrimp were huge. The octopus was also enormous and its honestly the best I’ve had, it came smothered in this great sauce with capers that just brought it to the next level. However, the service was awful. After we we seated we waited more than 10 minutes without a menu or even water before anyone acknowledged us. Then after the water came I noticed the glass was dirty, the rim had make up on it. Although the waiter quickly chnanged it after our complaint, that is unacceptable. Then again we waited thirsty for a while to get a refill. Great service and hygine could catapult it to the 5 stars, get it together on that end!

The most decadent lunch! Service, staff, food, presentation all top notch. Everything served family style so it would be great to come with a group.

Bottles is a fun place to go especially if you are an oeniphile. The food is served family style with huge servings. We usually go as a group of 8 to 10 people and share a couple of appetizers, 4 or 5 entrees and a couple of desserts. The food is excellent and the wine selection is even better. The wine is very reasonably priced. Food is on expensive side but worth it.

Bottles is one of the better restaurants outside of old San Juan. You wouldn’t know where it was unless someone local mentioned it. The wine list is fantastic(hence, Bottles) and the food is even better. I went with work colleagues and we had the quiet back room to ourselves. The waitstaff is great and the food comes out quick. The risotto, lobster and steak are to die for. Even the antipasto meat and cheese plate is really good. You can’t go wrong here as all the food is consistently good. A must try if you’re in San Juan area and need a break from Old San Juan.

Absolutely loved it here! The lobster risotto and tuna tatake are spectacular! The filet mignon and rib eye were spot on! The key lime pie rivals the originals from the Florida keys! Make sure you come with an appetite or are willing to share, because the portions are huge! They have a great selection of wine and their prices are quite reasonable for the bottle. Have only good things to say about Bottles! Can’t wait to come back to PR and have some more! 17% service charge is automatically added, so make sure you look at your bill.

Good food. Ridiculously large portions. Be prepared to share everything! The mozzarella in the caprese is really more like a burrata but delicious. The cod was very large and cooked well. My favorite was the chorizo yellow rice and of course the massive chocolate cake brownie, mousse and cake piled high.

The place its ok. You paid high price for abundant amount of ’”no-so-great” food. Plates are big, but lack of flavor and originality. Wine variety is good, and expensive at the table. Nevertheless, the environment is good to spend the time with friends, but not for more than 1hour. That’s why the 3 stars.

Go hungry and be prepared to share. Portions are gigantic. Start w the carpaccio and/or the mussels. My husband and I split the lobster risotto and the other couple w us split the cod dish w a mixed veg. We still had risotto to take home. Try the cakes for dessert but again, get a consensus from the table so you can share. The wine selection is very nice, diverse. They also have liquor medium to top shelf and above– take out and you can purchase bottles to go as well.

This place is absolutely incredible. My brother-in-law recommended it and it’s one of the few things he’s ever been right about. The owner came by and we had a great talk with him. Our waiter let us know when we were ordering too much food. The portions are HUGE. Every single bite we took was fantastic. Will definitely come back next time we’re on the island.

Everything here is amazing! The place is not cheap, but you pay for what you get. And here, you get amazing food, excellent service and variety. The most important aspect for me… Consistency! Bottles, every time you get the same exceptional service and tastes! Their Nutella Cheesecake will take you to Cloud 9!

Fantastic! Family style was solid. 2 apps and two entrees fed 5 adults! 1 chocolate cake dessert fed 5 adults and 2 children. Calamari and mozz and tomato salad ranked with some of the best! Best part was the wine experience. You but the wine at retail prices and drink at the table! No traditional 100% mark up. This place would kill in NY. Wirth the taxi ride!

So this is supposed to be high-end dining in PR. The place was pretty dead on a Saturday, but I think it was a holiday. Not sure where everyone is though, cause you would think a holiday would bring in more people. There was no dress code either, or else the family with kids wouldn’t have been sitting in the dining room, so don’t be intimidated by valet only and the three dollar sign review. They have this really weird reservation system where you have to pick if you want to sit in the appetizer side, or the dinner side of the house. If you sit in the dinner side, you have to order 3 entrees, but on the appetizer side, you can order anything you want, including entrees… I think it’s part of their segregation strategy to keep the riff rafts away from the«ballers,» aka the people who had their Ferrari and Porsche valeted in front. It was only 3 of us, so we sat in the appetizer section. We only ordered a mussels appetizer, and 2 entrees, and dessert. The mussels appt was huge. They give you a ton of mussels for sharing, and by the time we were finished with those, our entrees were ready. Their portion sizes are meant to feed a family, so definitely scale back your orders. So with 2 entrees and an appetizer, we still had to take home leftovers that could have easily fed one and a half more people. We’re not shy about eating either, and since I was on vacation, counting macros didn’t even cross my mind. You HAVE to try the Baked Alaska for dessert. It’s pretty much a mountain of icecream sitting on top of a brownie. Pretty sure it was Hagen-Diaz ice cream too. We felt ashamed that the three of us couldn’t finish it. Overall, this is a pretty cool place to go if you want to eat at a fancier place while in PR. Even though it’s got three dollar signs, it won’t hurt your wallet too much. Our total bill was only $ 140. Oh, don’t get hustled and pay $ 50/lb for their fresh fish either. There are way better places for a fraction of the cost on the island. If this place was back in VA, it’d be a three star for sure, but since this place is sorta unique in PR, I’ll be generous and give it the 4th. One other thing, they automatically include like 17% gratuity no matter what your party size is, so don’t expect the waiters to work any harder than they have to.

Mann… I don’t even know where to begin with this review! But this restaurant is just too awesome! My friend brought us to this restaurant for brunch because she said this place is really good! Between the 6 of us girls, we ordered a dozen of the oysters, the steak and eggs, the eggs benedict, and the Banana French toast! It may not sound like a lot of food between us 6 but omg the portions are HUGE!!! So crazy! And everything was just deliscious and cooked to perfection! Almost every entrée came with bacon and fruits as well. Everyone was super full and satisfied by the end of our meal. Oh and just a tip but you can also get unlimited Bloody Mary’s if you ask. =) So if you are ever visiting Puerto Rico, you should definitely try this place! You won’t regret it! If only I had something like this place back home! So jelly!!! :P

I consider this place a must as far as dining in Puerto Rico. It has been around forever and it very successful and has been successful without Unilocal. My boyfriend took my here with his family because it was my first time visiting them. They told me the history of this place, we found it ironic such a strong business that has been a fossil in PR has such a simple name and such a specific and very consistent menu. Does not change but they have their ingredients down and everything on the menu is perfected. It is very nice, high class place. There is a wine cellar and you can buy a bottle or two for your table and enjoy it with a dinner. The menu is very specific and on the pricey end. There were about 8 of us and we all have very different tastes. I would consider this place busy and loud and can dress casual but I would feel better dressing nicer to go to a place like this. We ended up with the fruit salad, lobster risotto and the churrasco and key lime pie for dessert. The fruit salad is very delicious fresher then anything and has a beautiful dressing. The lobster risotto was my favorite thing on the menu. It is amazing, the flavors and it is very cheesy. I’m not really into meat but my boyfriends little brother is a very picky meat eater only and he dies for the churrasco here. The key lime pie is the best key lime pie I’ve ever had. Amazing experience, 5 stars and will come here next time I am in Puerto Rico.

I went to eat lunch with my sister. The waitress brought us the menu and immediately ask us for something to drink. My sister ordered coffee. Right after that, we asked for suggestions regarding the menu. She said that all the dishes were great. We order the«Lobster Risotto». I believe that the title should be «Lobster soup» it was not risotto at all, the chef needs to master doing this. In addition, it was extremely salty, meaning that the lobster flavor was lost. The only good thing was the Chardonnay glass of wine that I drank. The service was good, but not excellent. Being a restaurant that attract the snob society of this country, the service didn’t meet the expectation. We left and there was no one in the door to greet us. Definitely price don’t match quality. However, the dishes were for more that one person.

Stopped in to Bottles the other day to check out the new location(to me) and buy a bottle of wine. I was hoping they had one of my favorite mixing liquors too, «43», but they did not. I’ll just have to buy a bottle of that on my way home at the airport. I bought a nice bottle of 2012 Wild Ridge Pinot Noir for New Year’s Eve. I tried this wine a few days ago because a friend that is a wine salesman brought it to dinner. It has been years since I’ve eaten at Bottles, so I’m looking forward to dinner here in the near future.

The food is good but the entrées are unnecessarily big and expensive. We were 6 people we ordered 4 entrées and I felt like there was a dead cow on the table. It grossed me out and I barely ate at all. They do have a phenomenal wine collection though so that is worth trying.
