I arrived for an early lunch around 11 o’clock because of course I was hungry and second because I heard so many great things about this place. My first impression was pretty good — there is definitely a lot of food here and a lot of seating area which is great for the crowded hours. The pork does not get any fresher than this. They bring the whole pig out on a skewer and begin hacking away at it to serve you a nice piece. if this is your first time here you deathly have to try the pork platter and wash it down with a Medalla!
This place came highly recommended by our host and I must say it was totally worth it. And I don’t even eat meat. After a week in puerto rico with delicious local cuisine — mofongo, tostones, rice and gandules, guineitos. I was craving something more flavorful and spicy. At El Mojito, I found a chickpea and tomato ‘curry’ style dish which gave me just that. I had it with some rice and mofongo on the side and it was divine. Oh and the pork. my husband got some lechon and really liked it(of course). He said it was one of the best he had. The servers were really friendly(cafeteria style) and there was plenty of seating.
