Burger Bar

Maybe I should’ve gotten a burger? Instead I got ribs and it was just horrible! The ribs were burn on both ends and the saucer tasted like the cheapest BBQ saucer you could get from Walmart. The meat was so tough that I had to dig through the bones to find anything that’s remotely edible. The drink was weak. The only upside is that the waitress was very nice.

After eating here a couple of times, finally I had to review it. We’ve always had pretty consistent service. Also, after craving something more than what passes as a salad around here I was delighted to see the strawberry/​arugula salad (and paired it with a fresh tasting lemonade) ! It almost reminds me of this amazing summer salad I’ve love from one of my favorite restaurants in CA. Their burgers have also consistently been good and their fries are amazing. Apparently they also have a pretty good happy hour which was going on when we last stopped by. Even though they were the fullest we’d ever seen them, they still managed to get our orders in and bring out our food in a timely manner.

I’m not really one who frequents hotel restaurants. There are so many other places to eat in the cities I visit, so I usually like to explore those places. That said, this restaurant is a great addition to this hotel. The staff are always friendly and wonderful, the ambiance is relaxing, and the food is excellent.
After a day-​long booze cruise, my boyfriend and I were in need of some serious nourishment. We both ordered burgers: mine was topped with short rib, his with onion straws and lots of melted cheddar cheese. The burgers came with homemade potato chips, but we ordered fries just to make sure we got our potato fixed. The burgers were excellent! Juicy and flavorful period not like any burger we’ve had before. Maybe it’s all of the Puerto Rican sunshine that makes them so good. I dunno. We sat on the outside Terrace, had a couple of cold Medaillas, and enjoyed a nice cigar while we waited for the food to arrive (the property is mostly non-​smoking, so it was good to find a place to enjoy the breeze as well as our cigars).
For brunch I had the Tropical Twist salad. It is sliced avocado, strawberries, and honey glazed slivered almonds served over a bed of arugula, with your choice of chicken, beef, or shrimp, and a guava vinaigrette dressing. I love this salad! One of the most delicious things I eat while on the island.
Don’t be deceived by the name. This place offers so much more than just burgers. Come for the food, stay for the ambiance.

Sweet little spot located within the Verdanza Hotel. Large array of items on menu offered options for all moods and palettes. Staff very friendly and channeling 50s burger joint vibe but definitely more upscale and refined without the attitude. Great atmosphere created by large indoor bar and large outdoor seating area slog with regular restaurant space. Enjoyed the Mac and cheese with shrimp which was super dreamy and creamy. Also had the tuna burger and crab cakes as well as bread pudding dessert. Enjoyed the Mac and cheese and dessert the most. Burgers were good but fries a little better. Lemonade was super fresh and packed a punch. Definitely the right atmosphere for casual beachy vibes

Ordered a burger with american cheeae, applewood smoked bacon and carmalized onions; medium rare. PERFECT!!! One of the best burgers i have had in a long while. Perfectly cooked. Great and fast service.

I am very disappointed in this restaurant. Stayed here for my vacation and my boyfriend and friends were excited to try the Sunday brunch. The drinks were good but it took over an hour to get our food and when i received my omelette it was burnt to a crisp on the bottom. My boyfriend sliders were cold, and my friend boyfriend had to wait an additional 20 minutes for his food. (Total of 1 hr and 20 mins wait time for his food) The manager was called and handled it correctly. That was much appreciated. The hostess stephanie was a doll as well. She deserves a raise!!! she was extremely helpful and made sure that the manager was called. Our waitress however disappeared and when she was asked to get the manager, she told us she couldn’t because there is one manager for all of the restaurants and shes not around. However the hostess stephanie tracked her down. Kudos to her! So the one star is for the hostess service.

We were looking for a burger to finish off our trip to Puerto Rico. We all loved the burgers we got at burger bar. Also a great salad too! We have an 18 month old child and he has been difficult to take out to eat. Our waitress was wonderful! She saw that he was struggling before his dinner came. She brought over a cut up strawberry for him. To top it all off the bar offers a glass of free beer or wine from 6 – 7 for happy hour. Overall great experience and service. We will definitely be back.

We are here because we were staying at the hotel. The service was slower than the laid back pace we’ve experienced on this vacation. The food took an eternity even though it was not crowded when we sat down. The Bloody Mary was just tomato juice and rail vodka, I ordered it with Sroli. Not attentive service, my drink was empty more often than not. Food was good when it came, but not worth the price or wait.

We found this place and wanted to try since it was just across our hotel the Embassy Suites on our vacation in Puerto Rico. Had the boss burger. Added a fried egg. The burger didn’t come with a fried egg and apparently no one had ever asked for such an ingredient but they did it anyways. Meat was juicy and ingredients fresh. One order of fries was enough for two people to share. One word: DELICIOUSNESS

This is the restaurant in our hotel. My first visit here I sat at the bar and had Janine (I believe) as my bartender. She was very friendly and very hands on and wanted to ensure I had a delightful service. Which I did! Hence the saving grace for giving two stars…
A few days later on my second visit here my family and I decided to eat here for early dinner. First off we sat down for a good 7 – 10 minutes with no drink order or even a quick greet! We did notice her clean off the other tables and didn’t even acknowledge us at all (and I was sure to make eye contact with her) Thankfully there was a younger gentlemen (Ruben) who asked if our waitress (Christal) has spoken with us, and once we informed him she hadn’t, she then came over and took our drink order. My 9 year old brother wanted a Sheryl temple, simple, right? Apparently that wasn’t doable. Which I found odd being as they have a full bar. I let it slide.
Once we were ready to order food, we each ordered our meal and ordered the onion ring tower as an app. It took17 MINUTES and assistance from Ruben to get our lukewarm onion ring tower, which also came out with my brothers chicken strips and fries. The three remaining meals came out after my 9 year old brother finished his entrée. The main entrees were delicious but the overall service we got from Christal was horrible. We will not be coming back here for the reminder of our vacation.

This restaurant was apart of our hotel The Verdanza in San Juan so my friends and I ate here our second night. Initially we only wanted drinks but once we saw the menu and the desserts they offered we decided to order more. We ended up ordering two Churros desserts because they were out of bread pudding. The Churros came with six sticks, melted caramel on the side and two types of ice creams. It was great. Four people were able to eat comfortably off of two desserts. The drinks were great as well. No complaints. Our server was great and checked in on our table. I would suggest giving this spot a try if you plan to be in San Juan for a quick trip or a prolonged stay. I gave four stars because they did not have bread pudding during our dine-​in.

Huge portions and reasonable prices. Had the rib fries and the boss «burger» (it is shredded pork and chorizo).

Very creative, well thought out burgers like shrimp burger, el Cubano burger, fish n chips burger, and «The Boss» burger (which is very yummy BTW). Their fries are HUGE and also creative. Awesome service as well. Great time.

I am the first one to review this place and feels so good to say I liked it. We got broccoli cheddar soup, vegetarian black bean burger and spicy potato wedges. Service was prompt, food quality was good price is moderate. We felt so good we had vegetarian option and did not have to request for replacement like we usually have to do! It is open only in the evening though so it’s a dinner place only. I request them to please turn down the music volume a bit as it is a little distracting. Apart from that great food!
