The food was good, I’ve had better in nearby areas. People say the long lines must signify that the food is really good, but in reality its the slow workers. I mean SUPER slow, I waited 40 mins in line then once it was my turn to place my order it was another 25 minutes. I’ve never seen such slow customer service in my life. The place would do so much better if not for their workers because the food is not that bad.

This was our first stop after landing in Puerto Rico. We were hungry and still had to drive to our hotel. For under $ 20, I was able to order a little bit of everything. Such a great price! The best part was the ribs, rice and plantain. I wish there was a written out menu with prices. I had to point to everything that I wanted. So why the one star? I couldn’t finish everything so I saved it for drunk food later. I ate about 90% of the food until I realized there was a dead fly nestled in the last piece of rib. Glistening in fat. But entirely intact. No thank you.

This place is legit. We drove past it while picking up our rental car and there was a line so we decided to go back. When we came back 3 hours later there was still a line. They have no menu and no prices viewable which made it a little difficult but some helpful locals helped us through the process. The yucca was really good and authentic but a little oily. The BBQ was delicious especially the chicken. We ended up ordering enough food for 8 when there was only 4 of us. Their portions are really big. Would definite go back. Only reason for 4 stars is the lack of menus and pricing.

This is 1 of 2 places we eat when in PR. They have THE best food in this area. Yuca with onions, arroz con gandules, plantains and chicken and pork is what we always get. The line looks long and slow but I’ve only waited 15 mins to get food. Before we leave for the airport, we go get this food and bring it with us! Amazing, delicious, out of this world. You can’t go wrong.

Latin American bbq so they say. In Puerto rico there are a lot of pricey restaurants in the area and that’s all we were eating. all the food was great, no complaint there, just pricey. so we decided to look for a local place that served good food for the great price and found Bebos BBQ on Unilocal.there are apparently 2 lines and we didn’t know, we were unlucky and chose the long line. it took us an hr to order and get our food. all the food are in metal Trays sitting on top of hot water under a covered warmer. Standing in line you will be able to see it all and decide what to eat. The workers mostly don’t speak English and we had to point at what we wanted and there wasn’t a menu we could find. I was not a fan of the pork blood sausages because it was really mushy but I love pork blood. Maybe it was actual Pork was mixed in it then it would have satisfied my taste. The chicken and the yellow yams were delicious!!! Omg! The potatoes … Wish we ordered more. We ordered ribs half a chicken pork blood sausages and yam and it was all for $ 17!!! Everyone must go there and give it a try being in Puerto Rico.

Good local food, the line is so long but it worth the wait. Not a lot of place to sit though.

Pros: Cheap price but lot of meat. The oven baked ribs, roasted pork and roasted chicken, sweet plantain and rice are very delicious. Open 24⁄7. Cons: Blood sausage and Mofongo are under average. Long waiting line. The staffs merely doesn’t speak English and not at all friendly. I needed to use body language. Self-serve restaurant. Very few space to sit to eat.

Got off my flight at 4am and went for the highest rate place that still open. Ribs are great! Only tried those with BBQ sauce on b4. This is new to me and I did enjoy that. Also tried their pork. Wonderful! Love the crispy skin! Normally 7⁄24 restaurant can’t be this good lol. Also for that price. What else can you ask for?

It’s always a gamble when you eat as a tourist. This place though, was super legit. While the wait was long(even though there wasn’t even a line at the time), it was worth it. All the meats were fall off the bone. The rice was delicious. Plantains were delicious. Yuca and onions were amazing! There’s another similar outdoor BBQ place(El Verde) that we tried on our last day in PR but this one was way better for the price. I’d def go again if I ever come back to Puerto Rico!

This place is AMAZING. Definitely a must go in Puerto Rico. Thank you, Unilocal, without you, I wouldn’t have known about this amazing BBQ place. Bebo’s is delicious and definitely worth the trip out even if you’re a tourist. This local joint has delicious, flavorful BBQ for a great price. My cousin and I got three different BBQ dishes and two sides for around $ 24. Everything was so tender and juicy and bursting at the seams with flavor. I even saved some to eat the next day because it was so good(and also because the portions are so generous). Right now, I’m laying in my cold NJ bed, wishing I was able to fly to PR right now and get some of their delicious BBQ(they’re open 24⁄7 and near the airport). Definitely try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is EXCELLENT for Puerto Rican BBQ and creole food! Open 24 hours for a convenient stop going to or or coming in from airport. There is always a line but worth the wait. The people here are great. The food is clean and the restroom is clean as well. If you’re bringing bratty kids, there’s a McDonalds next to and in the same parking lot.

Cheap very good food had the pork, chicken plantains. Bomb rice. Don’t be wary because it’s at the car return drop off. Locals come here and highly recommended Fancy restrioms and clean.

FOOD — Matured Plantains: sweet. Makes a good side. 4⁄5 — Yuca and onions: delicious! This was the first place I’ve ever had yuca and it made me fall in love with it. 5⁄5 — Arroz con gandules: not your average rice. 5⁄5 — Blood Sausages: not my cup of tea. 1⁄5 — BBQ Chicken: seasoned well and tender meat. 4.5÷5 — BBQ Pork: crispy skin and tasty meat. 5⁄5 — BBQ Ribs: seasoned well and fall off the bone meat. 5⁄5 SERVICE The line moves relatively fast. The staff speaks enough English, if all else fails, just point. 3⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS Delicious food! This is one of my favorite spots in PR. And you cannot beat the price! I recommending spraying yourself with Off! or mosquito repellant. This is outdoor seating only. The first time I ate here, I got torn up!

This is hands-down a great Puerto Rican experience if you want to find local flavor without any tourists. Although the food wasn’t spectacular, it was cheap, plentiful, and decent quality. The people who work here don’t speak English(or rather I didn’t speak Spanish) but they were really kind. Just point to what you want and gesture(in my case I did a lot of «just a little bit» gestures… haha). My favorite foods were the blood sausages and the plantains! The tripe stew was alright. I tried five different foods — including the corona and the total was less than $ 10. What a steal!

As good as it gets! Super awesome ribs, rice, cassava, tripe, blood sausage and plantains. Been here 4 times now. I go here every time we visit and it’s always good! Lots of locals here and the staff do understand english. If they dont, just speak away, point and say for how many people. They are good with just throwing stuff together for you. Probably good if you know basic spanish words(for pork, chicken, rice etc…). My favorite meat restaurant in PR. Oh… I did buy 4lbs of meat and took it back home to TX. About to heat some up right now :)

After a night of trying our luck at the Ritz Carlton San Juan casino, my friends and I jumped into a rental car and followed Google Maps and headed towards Bebo’s BBQ in the Carolina area for some late night grub. When we arrived, there was a short line that seemed to take forever to move. We finally made it to the display of barbecued meats showcased through the greasy clear glass. There was chicken, ribs, slow roasted pork, different stuffed sausage, tripe stew, plantain and yucca root vegetables. It was a bit difficult placing our order, we had to point to the dish and explain how many lbs or kilos we wanted. Luckily the person infront of us spoke English and I was grateful that he helped translate for us. So much for Spanish II honors. I’ve read the Unilocal reviews and it seemed like the ribs was the staple item. My friends were a bit daring and got the blood sausage and tripe stew. My husband and I were a bit boring and got the chicken, ribs, plantains, yucca and smoked pork. All that for $ 17.00! There were dining tables for us to use but we took our food to go and ate at the condo instead where we could wash it down with sangria and Dewars. Some things tasted better than others, my favorite was the pernil pork and ribs of course! Both were moist, tender and FLAVORFUL! Usually I like yucca, but the side dish from Bebo’s was too mushy for my preference. I didn’t have the stomach to try the tripe or the sausage but my friends thought it was OK. Bebo’s BBQ in Carolina is a bit out of the way for most tourists, but if you have a car or are willing to shell out a few bucks for a cab ride, then I’d recommend it. It’s also on the way to the airport from Old San Juan and Condado so if you want to grab food before or after a flight, stop by for some yummy Puerto Rican barbecue.
