The best ice cream you can have. Fresh ingredients, local fruits and some strange flavors like rice, sweet potato and corn. The usual flavors are also very good. We had Hersheys kisses ice cream, waffles with maple and toasted marshmellow.

Amazing ice cream in awesome flavors! We sampled a bunch, including toasted marshmallow, cream cheese, vanilla, pancakes with maple syrup, and more. One member of our party tried the garlic flavor which… definitely tasted like garlic. The best part was that none of the flavors tasted artificial or too saccharine sweet. The sundaes looked INSANE.

The place is extremely small, but they let you taste three flavors and from the ones i tried, they were all good! Now if only they removed the garlic flavored ice cream to come up with one that’s actually edible!

Fantastic service and incredibly genuine. Best ice cream in Puerto Rico! Definitely worth the drive. We showed up and everyone was super nice. Also, very unique flavors. One guy came outside just to tell us he appreciated our business. Highly recommend the snickers ice cream!

This place makes the best ice cream! It’s a must go place when visiting PR! They make homemade ice cream using tropical fruits that are in season and at their peak! They also make delicious ice cream out of the most unlikely ingredients like garlic, beans etc. There are many options that are lactose free! I recommend this place to all my PR bound friends! :-)

Forget what you think you know about ice cream parlors because this place will change all that anyway! Red beans, queso, avocado cilantro … I’m not describing appetizers, these are actual flavors of ice cream at Jendy’s, so unique. I wish I was that adventurous but I instead opted for a cheese flan and guava combo that was creamy delicious heaven. Next time :) We were with a friend who lives in PR and the store is definitely not in a tourist area and it’s pretty far from San Juan but if you’re traveling with a car it’s worth it the trip.

Amazing… cazuela with cinnamon takes me straight to fall weather and Thanksgiving. Rice pudding with cinnamon, straight to Christmas. Kit Kat was AMAZING as well. And we had to try the garlic just for kicks… and well, it tasted just like garlic. You must try this place.

Awesome ice-cream. Worth drive from San Juan. Exotic flavors. Try rainbow — a combination of any 7 scoops only for $ 7. It should be more than enough for 2 people. The flavors include tres leches, corn, ginger, hazelnut, coconut, almond, gauva, tamarind and many tropical fruits. More info at —

Once upon a time, the Heladeria in Lares was the only option for exceptional ice cream in Puerto Rico. Every time I came to Puerto Rico, I had to go «all the way» out west to Lares for some unique flavors of ice cream. Truth be told, nothing in Puerto Rico is too far away; it is a small island, after all. But Lares is a little out of the way unless you’re going to the Camuy Caves, the Arecibo Observatory or Window Cave(Cueva Ventana). Jendy’s in Caguas, just south of San Juan, is the answer to my prayers! No need to drive to Lares anymore! Yesterday, I went a little crazy and had 6 different flavors of ice cream here: guava with cheese(cheesy goodness!), tres leches(really had the tres leches cake blended into the ice cream — absolutely celestial!), flan de queso(frozen custard with creamy Puerto Rican cheese — yummyness!), mamey sapota(simply delicious!), arroz con leche(rice pudding blended into ice cream — divinity!) and turron(nougat). All 6 were amazing. Oh, and have them sprinkle some cinnamon and nutmeg on your rice pudding ice cream! Makes it even tastier! The flavors range from mildly unique(e.g. tamarind and corn) to bizarre(e.g. garlic ice cream!), so suit your inclinations and your sense of adventure. Parking is seriously limited, and the store itself is small and easy to miss if you are driving by. It is on Ave Luis Munoz Marin(Rt 32), diagonally across from the Costco in Caguas Centro Plaza mall.

Local ice cream shop in Caguas. They have lots of unique or seasonal flavors. I tried the grapefruit, which was tart but tasted like grapefruit of course. I ended up though with the passion fruit cheesecake and the carmel pecan. They are very friendly and family owned little shop.
