Fuddruckers

A good cheeseburger and fries.

Not too many places in San Juan to enjoy a good old fashioned American cheeseburger, with lots of toppings, bacon, and even extra cheese. I also like their onion rings and Sprite Zero.

A couple of unimpressive visits several years ago had kept me away from Fuddruckers until today. A complete retooling of the locale and the menu has now made me a fan. This was the best burger that I have had in Puerto Rico, and service and ambiance were impeccable.
Although you order at the register and get (loudly) called for pickup at the counter, attendants roam the floor checking on your needs and satisfaction.
The creation that I chose was on the board only as a ½ pounder. I asked if I could get it as a ¹⁄₃ lb. and they were totally accommodating. A large selection of condiments and a free produce bar round up the creative experience.
I am tempted to slice half a star for the soda machines where both iced tea dispensers poured watered down drinks. Maybe that is why refills are free. Lose a full star if it happens next time. ..

Excellent burgers! Juicy and large, with great toppings and sauces to add. Definitely a store for hamburger lovers!
