Great, fresh food made with love! For 5 euros you can get soup, sandwich and a drink. Fantastic value

This was the best value for my money while I was in Porto! Until 3pm, they offer a soup + salad/sandwich(of your choice) + non-alcoholic drink for 5EU. You can’t go wrong, PLUS the portions are generous! Great place whether you’re on a budget or not. Café itself is on the small side, service is relaxed, but friendly, and if I had another opportunity, I’d go back/recommend it without any hesitation!

I think it’s safe to say that this is one of my favorite sandwich shops in the world! You get so much for your money, the quality & taste of the food is superb, & the service and ambiance of this sandwich/salad shop is top notch! I went to A Sandeira for lunch while adventuring around Porto and paid 5 euros for the soup of the day, drink of the day(non-alcoholic), & my choice of a sandwich. I ordered the salmon sandwich per the waitress’ advice & it was amazing! A Sandeira is a very intimate & relaxed place to eat; I highly recommend stopping by for lunch either alone or with a couple of friends. You can definitely expect to eat well without breaking the bank as you travel!

This is an awesome, lovely, little place with very tasty sandwiches, a good selection of teas, wines and portos, all creatively and originally presented. And at very reasonable prices.

While the second largest city in Portugal, Porto is not as developed for tourism as Lisbon. The economy in the city is still in a large slump, which means prices of goods are still super cheap here — especially the food. A Sandeira is located on a smaller side street, very close to the tower and São Bento station. The entrance is super small so you may miss it easily. The restaurant itself is also quite petite, maybe with 6 tables total and a side bar top for around 6 people. Atmosphere was warm with medium noise level. However, I dont think its suitable for groups larger than 4 people. The sandwich, fries & caprese starter I had were extremely tasty and made of super fresh ingredients. I have never gotten such food for so little money(Im sure London has skewed my perception).

Cute little sandwich shop, though very tight seating. Good menu of basic sandwiches and salads, had a great one of presunto ham with figs and brie. Bread was fresh and toasty, great sauces, and prices quite reasonable.
