DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY – Booking Scam, Financial Pressure, and Lies I had a confirmed, prepaid booking (CJT-171566273) through Eurojet for 16:30 pickup at Lisbon Airport with Goldcar.
Upon my timely arrival, instead of honoring the contract, I was presented with an outrageous ultimatum:
Wait at least one hour, or
Pay an additional 120€ immediately to access a car.
This is nothing short of consumer deception and organized extortion. When a booking is confirmed for 16:30, the vehicle must be ready — not used as leverage to pressure additional payments from customers who are left stranded.
Despite waiting in good faith, I was later told that cars were still not available, and it was “better” if I paid extra. It was clear this entire setup was an intentional scam designed to force customers into paying more once they were trapped at the location.
Moreover, the fraudulent practices did not end there. At the counter, I was suddenly informed that a 1500€ deposit was required — when my official booking confirmation clearly specified 1200€. Such a major change was never properly disclosed beforehand and was only revealed deliberately at the last moment to coerce customers into acceptance.
This is a textbook example of:
Breach of contract
Misrepresentation of terms
Fraudulent concealment
Predatory business practices
Eurojet and Goldcar together have demonstrated a complete collapse of ethical responsibility. They have engaged in systematic abuse of trust, deliberate misinformation, and targeted financial exploitation of their customers.
If a company cannot provide the service promised, they have no right to accept bookings and take payments. Customers are not hostages. We are entitled to receive exactly what was confirmed, without manipulation or hidden charges.
I strongly urge all potential customers: stay away from Eurojet and Goldcar. This operation is not trustworthy. It is a coordinated scam designed to maximize their profits at the direct expense of customer rights.
I am now pursuing:
A full refund
Financial compensation for wasted time and distress
Formal complaints to European and national consumer protection bodies
Public exposure of this abusive practice across all review platforms
This experience was not just a bad service — it was a carefully orchestrated scam against trusting consumers. Eurojet must be held accountable.
