The home brewed beers are flavourful, deep and worth the trip by themselves. If you fancy a pint, come here — prices are reasonable, the bar is always busy, and you won’t be disappointed. I was quite satisfied with the caramel mead — rich in colour, and the flavour was so delightful, my second pint was another, rather than switching to one of their other selections. Being a tourist, of course I ordered the local pirogi. The assortment main came with three yummy flavours: Cottage Cheese and Potatoes Meat and Cabbage Mushroom Quite delightful, really. The potato based shell was very freshly made, and tasted sublime. I had an onion soup as a starter. Expecting something like a French Onion soup, I was surprised instead to see a Polish take on this classic, with onion soup finished with croutons and cheese(but not baked in the oven). Was almost like a combination between an Italian Wedding soup and a French Onion soup. A nice, albeit heavy, starter. As a bonus, if you visit in late November or December, this bar/restaurant is right on the Christmas Square, which is well worth a walk on a cold winter’s night. Would absolutely go back!

I guess everything has been said already about this place. It is this kind of a place where you«have to» go when you visit the city. The beers are home-brewed so it definitely worth to taste when you tired of zywiec and co, I particularly recommend the«strong beer». However, the terrace is very busy(with tourists and locals) and noisy so you can’t really relax and enjoy it. I have been inside just a few minutes but it looked a bit shabby!

Come here for the beer, not the food… though the food is not bad, including the little«lard-wich» that you get with your beer. You order at the bar and wait to hear your food order called. If you have really no idea what you ordered because you just pointed at a bunch of good-looking stuff that was being grilled, that can be a challenge but the workers were all pretty helpful and nice. Food, or no food though, the patio can’t be beat for people-watching in the square. The honey beer is pretty unique– reminds me of mead. Enjoy!

The cellar of Spiż is not a good place to start out a night. In the main hall there are four big-screen televisions. For some inexplicable reason they choose to show old music videos on them continuously. That’s the kind of stuff people watch when they suffer from insomnia. The constant stream of random imaginary can really tire your brain. I was constantly in danger of falling asleep when I was there.

The beer was great and reasonably priced. Seating can be problematic at times, but worth the table scouting needed.

Spiz is a great place to sit down and grab a beer on a sunny afternoon in Wroclaw. At night, the place is jam-packed with Poles and tourists guzzling down their fair share of home-brewed Polish beer. I’m not typically a beer-drinker, but when in Poland do as the Poles and have yourself a cold one. I sampled a cherry beer, and was surprised by the chelb z smalcem that came witht it. We don’t typically eat that here in the States, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. I ate it anyways, and looked it up later. Bread spread with porkfat — mm mm good. Tourist should be warned to have coins and not pay with big bills if you don’t want a dirty look from the barkeeps, but other than that, visiting Spiz is a pleasant experience.

Great food! get your money’s worth here. I also really like the honey beer. The sausages were very good as well as the saurkraut. Best view in the square.

Located on the main square and quite popular among tourists. You come here for beer, which they brew on premises and a whole lot of it also. :)) The beer is great! Even though they didn’t have a few kinds available that night we definitely got our beer fix. I tried: honey(too sweet), caramel(ok), stout(pretty good) and«strong beer»(just perfect). So here is what I did not like — we sat at the bar, I’m describing that area alone. It was gloomy, dimmed light, stale aired space, smelling a bit funky. The building is very old, and looks great from outside, but clearly overdue for some renovation/remodeling inside. If it’s «bier haus» look they trying to preserve then clean it up and take those flat screen TV’s that are hanging on each wall and killing the vibe. If it’s more modern beer pub then remodel completely. Either way place needs a «fresher look» it’s just too worn down now and a bit dirty.

Spiz is microbrewery with nice bub and restaurant. If you are in Wroclaw you have to visit this place and try«pszeniczne» beer.
