My 1star rating is based entirely on the quality of service and, more significantly, the attitude of the manager. I have visited the café many times and overlooked the somewhat haphazard service as I enjoy the range of breakfast options on the menu. The waiters, although usually pleasant, can appear rushed and somewhat agitated. It’s not surprising, though, when trying to do their job under the critical eye of the owner. I’ve observed her remonstrating with her staff in an unprofessional manner and incurred her wrath recently when having the temerity to query an item on the bill. I had been sat outside transferring photos from my camera to my iPad and had a full table having ordered eggs, croissants, bread, jam, coffee, water etc when the heavens opened. Customers hastily rushed inside, without so much as an offer of help from the staff, as the wind blew the downpour horizontally across the tables. I managed to rescue everything with the exception of my coffee and plate of scrambled eggs. I requested another coffee after indicating to the waiter that mine had been caught in the rain. I was, therefore, taken aback when the coffee was added to the bill. The cost of the coffee is immaterial but the attitude of the waitress, and later the manager, was unacceptable. The waiter rolled her eyes when I queried the bill and explained what had happened. I was told that I should’ve picked up my coffee more quickly had not left it on the table, despite only having one pair of hands. I was told that it wasn’t the fault of the restaurant that it had rained(that much is true I guess!) and that ordering another coffee meant the additional cost of beans. The waiter then called for the manager who simply repeated, more or less word for word, what the waiter had said but in a far more abrupt manner. She eventually knocked 9z off my bill but without so much as an apology. She was totally unconcerned and seemed to take the 9z off my bill as a means of getting me to leave the restaurant. She turned on her heels and stormed off. I assume she thought I was a tourist and wouldn’t be coming back anyway. I will not be spending my money there again and have suggested to my many friends in colleagues in a Warsaw that they think twice before giving their custom to this establishment. Simply not good enough.

Great place for breakfast/brunch. Service is slow, as in most places here, but all the rest was just great.

I a bit weary of trying this place out after reading the reviews but what the hey as they say. It was close to the apartment I moved into and I was out of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised. The cappuccino I had was yummy and almost on par with my beloved Oren’s in NYC.

Me and the people sitting next to me were apparently the unluckiest in this place … it looks like a café that you can quickly have a sit down breakfast and coffee. but my experience was the opposite. They forgot our order and after waiting for 45 minutes asking them several times, they finally noticed it! I would say it must be very mismanaged that such a problem happens … especially when it was not even on rush hour …

Maybe it was just a one-time bad experience, but upon my first and only visit to this place the cappuccino was really bad, it was more like a latte and the espresso in it had no body. The tartelet I ordered was frozen when I cut into it, and when I asked the staff to warm it up a bit, they overheated it so when it arrived back at my table it was an unappetizing gooey mess. On the upside, the quiche was quite tasty and the salad someone was having at the table next to mine looked good as well. Still, I think far better french pastries and espresso can be found up the street at Café Vincent.

Cute French café on one of the busiest streets in Warsaw. Great selection of baked goods and bread. Also I had a salad and quiche which I both enjoyed a lot. I would recommend for Lunch/Brunch.
