This will be the first Unilocal event that I will not give five stars. Honestly, this is due to the food envy that blossomed in my guts as if I were the one kid out of thirty who got socks for Christmas instead of Malibu Barbie. It dawned on me far too late that I should have ordered the breakfast pizza. Not to say that my bacon and eggs were bad… just so normal. So normal. So unbreakfast pizza-y. So underwhelming. So unwow. But Aoili is just so unwow. What can you expect from a restaurant named for a condiment that’s comprised of nothing more than mayo and garlic? So, unwow. Regardless of the fact that I had food envy, it was a brilliant way to spend a rainy Saturday morning: a cup of hot steaming joe in my hands, surrounded by my Unilocal friends, eating unwow breakfast at a cozy family table on the newly opened Swietokrzyska street. Not a bad way to start the day. Oh and the party favors — Unilocal rain ponchos — extremely appropriate. Unilocal breakfast is a great idea in general. I never, ever wake up early enough on a Saturday to go to breakfast no matter how much I tell myself I“m going to do it. I told myself I was going to check out Targ the entire summer. All I visited was my pillow until late afternoon every Saturday between June and September. There are lots of great places with interesting breakfast menus, and Unilocal is the only thing that will ever motivate me to take it easy on a Friday night so I can actually wake up on a Saturday morning. Thank you Unilocal for expanding my horizons!
