I had amazing 4 elements dish not many days back… and i only needed to think better– …sour, salty, sweet and spicy blended according to special secret recipe to give amazing flavour for hidden Thai twist… I was thinking about Earth… Fire…Water and Air 4 elements but still have not figured it out connections with flavours because I am not specialist in White Magic :) I love all… only what i was missing was type of Thai food in London style :) but obviously it lacking such quality… and is not Thai or Chinese noodle take away :) Love the service and dry palm… Love the look of dishes… number 4… the key…

I had Tom yum soup and Thai style wings. Tom Yum(spicy) was indeed VERY hot and delicious! The Thai style wings were deep fried wings… All the food I seen served here looked great and there were no complaints.

First of all, Samui does not make Thai food. The most i can say is that the food is Thai-inspired. A handful of dishes are somewhat tasty(deep fried garlic salmon and the curries) but nothing is authentically Thai, which is a surprise because the head chef is from Thailand. Unfortantely, she and the owners have ruined classic Thai recipes by trying to either save money or making the dishes accessible to Poles. A few examples: –pad thai. Problem — it was RED and did not have the classic pad thai flavor(based on tamarind sauce). Pad thai is not red — they must have used srirachi or some other kind of chili sauce. A cheap shortcut. –stir fried pork with thai basil. Granted, thai basil is expensive and hard to find(but not impossible — i have found it in krakow markets), but this dish requires fresh ingredients to be good. Tastes like samui uses canned goods. –spicy salads. Once again, a reliance on chili sauces that dont go into the classic dish. This should be soaked in lime juice — but i tasted none. The best dishes here are the curries(green curry is always my favorite), which are usually a safe bet because they are easy to make with ready made curry packets/cans, and you can substitute all kinds of western veggies for the hard to find Thai ones. This review is probably a bit too bitter, but i get frustrated that the cooks radically changed so many dishes. Perhaps they think that Polish people dont like real Thai food, but i would disagree as i have had great authentic Thai food in warsaw and sopot.

Wlasnie wrocilismy z Krakowa i koniecznie musze Samui polecic. We will definitely be back to check and enjoy again.
