I had the cherry liquer hot chocolate. Definitely one of the most decadent things i’ve ever drunk. I did not also need a traditional polish pastry dessert but that was also delicious!

Been in this bar quite a few times and it is a lovely relaxing place. They have a decent selection and I’ve had desert there which was lovely. I enjoy their Cherry vodka and the G&Ts are good. Just a really chilled place with old wooden tables etc. Recommend for a nice drink just of the square which isn’t got to have drunk stag parties in it :)

This is a very cute little café in Krakow. It’s three levels, with the lowest level being the cutest(in my opinion). I had the hot chocolate(which is pretty much melted chocolate) with cherry liquor. I would highly recommend this place!

It came as advertised. Coffee decent and an apple pie with a Polish twist with fresh whipped cream. Internet was fast and reliable, although it took a bit to connect. Walls worn, but that adds to the atmosphere. Prices reasonable.

Informal, friendly, full of artsy(in a good way) character plus friendly service and good drinks. Dependable and central — go there to revive, study, socialise or anything else!

Incredible. Best szarlotka in Krakow. Also recommend hot chocolate with cherry liquor. This place will always have great business. Hopefully the owner will actually remodel the bathroom one of these days so it doesn’t smell like sewage. Or tell his employees to actually keep it clean. 20 zloty in some air fresheners and cleaning supplies wouldn’t hurt you.

I simply adore this establishment. My favourite spot is on the top level where I can both overlook the action happening downstairs and easily turn around to mind my own business while sipping on my cup of tea. Weirdly enough I cannot remember who introduced me to Nowa Prowincja, but to whoever that was I am now eternally grateful! Whenever someone visits me in Krakow and we need to take a break from walking around in the old town I take them here and feed them the hot chocolate which I say will be the best they’ve ever had. .and so far nobody has objected. Rather there’s usually the bitter comment about«never being able to taste anything like it again» upon our departure; to which I respond with evil laughter followed by «you’ll have to visit again, then» :)

From the outside it could be overlooked easily, but it’s well worth having a look inside. The atmosphere is very cozy, the dark wood interior gives it a kind of old-fashioned look, but definitely in a good sense. The Nowa Prowincja most probably serves the best Hot Chocolate in Krakow. And in this case we really are talking about«hot chocolate» — it’s more like a chocolate pudding than a beverage. Also try the Grzane Wino, it’s yummy like anywhere in Krakow, with the raisins at the bottom of the glass giving it a unique touch.

one of the cosiest places to drink coffe and chat with friends. Very friendly staff. You should definitely try their lemon pie, hot chocolate and my personal favourite: Café a la Vienna with a spoonful of fresh cream straight from a very happy cow :-) Nowa prowincja also offers salads, home-made hummus and a small choice of pastas. The food doesn’t disappoint.

Hot Chocolate is different in Poland than it is to f.e. Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium or England. It is so thick that your spoon can keep an upright position in the cup just by the density of the drink. It is the same time incredibly sweet and distinctively bitter. After you’ve sipped away such a hot chocolade your tongue sticks in your mouth, but the belly feels like filled with instant happiness. And Nowa Prowincja serves such a perfect hot chocolate. We were there with a small group of three women and one man which makes three hot chocolates and one beer. The man in our group recognized that there are more young women in the bar/café than usual in Poland at nighttime. From a glance at the other guests we guessed that Nowa Prowincja is rather a bar/café you would frequent with girl friends or you would check in after you’ve attended a vernissage or a theater play. Next time we’re in Krakow we will visit it again in the night time if we’re not really in the mood for heavy drinking or during tea time. Skip the tea, skip the scones and have hot chocolate instead!
