Hamsa is offering you a modern Israeli cuisine in the middle od Kazimierz. They have a lot of vegetarian dishes but meat lovers won’t be disappointed either. On Saturday, they serve«all you can eat» brunches for 30PLN. Good place for breakfast(different kinds of shakshuka). I Am less keen on their meats which are often too salty. Prices are pretty high.

The first restaurant we visited on our trip and it did not disappoint! We shared a huge chicken tagine done the ‘polish’ way with onion and cherrys, and it was incredible. The portion was huge, even for two! We also had two hummus’ to start(you just have to here) and they were so creamy, authentic and ruddy delicious!

This place represensts a very nice combination of traditional and new Israeli food and ambience. They have an interior area and a charming garden with modern isreali music played in the background. The restaurant is espacially popular for its hamsa hand sets that you can order in an opition: small, medium and large(3, 6 or 9 different ingradients from the menu). Each set consists additionaly of olives, pickles, paprica and pita bread. The sets give a possibility to try a lot of different things at once — falafel, hummus, baba ganoush and much more. If you go there only in 2 persons I advise to choose a small set as medium one is way to large already ! ;) Apart from hamsa sets I laso enjoyed their burekas, really tasty!

Best dinner I have had here in Cracow! Portions are VERY large– so order accordingly!(Dishes that say for 2 could easily feed 3 or 4) Being gluten and dairy free, it has been really hard for me to find accommodating restaurants, but here they labeled«gf, mf, vg, vgn»(gluten free, milk free, vegetarian, vegan). Highly recommend

We’d walked by this restaurant several times and today we ate a late lunch there. The exterior is attractive and there’s outdoor seating, but it was very warm and therefore we opted to eat indoors. I ordered the spinach & feta burekas(25.80PLN) — and since it was plural, naturally I assumed there would be more than one(not so). It was delicious, but still… my husband ordered the Akko hummus(14.20PLN) and the tabuleh salad(13.60PLN) and his food was also delicious, including the pita bread. Also, there was free WiFi(albeit slow) and the restrooms were clean. The reasons why I’m not giving a higher rating are because the service was quite lackadaisical — including the fact that our server seemed annoyed when we didn’t order anything else(!) — and because there was continually-blasting music.

Hamsa(hummus and happiness) is a restaurant you really want to like but no matter how much you want to like it, it manages to disappoint. The décor is pleasant, especially outside in summer, the service is good and the menu appealing. But then the food arrives and it is not up to the quality of good middle eastern cuisine. Today the tabouleh was disappointing and the portion ludicrously small. The lamb in the tagine was cooked to perfection but they had forgotten to add any flavour whatsoever. Today was my last attempt at eating there but may have a beer sometime in the garden.

Hamsa has a very pleasant interior. I opted to have the so-called Near-East Chicken. It was served with seasoned red rice, some parsnips and a salad. Portion size was quite generous, the food was tasty and I went away quite satisfied. Prices are a little on the high side. The meal I had came in at just under 40ZL(including a beer), but many of the other menu options were around the 50ZL mark. Some of the friends I went with weren’t quite so impressed, rating the place and the food as merely adequate, but weren’t able to put their finger on exactly was not quite as it should be. «Good, but no wow factor» was the sort of thing they were saying. But, I would certainly go again without too much hesitation.

This place is wonderful. Great food, reasonably priced, and the service we experienced was outstanding. If you like Middle Eastern fare, then I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Fresh, bright and with rhythm is how I can describe this new and attractive place. I was there for the food but the decoration was also very convidative, with white and blue motives, pictures hanging on the wall and Israeli music. The 2 rooms can get crowded on a week day and menu has a LOT of choices, healthy and tasty. I chose the breakfast Morroccan wrap(includes tea, coffee or juice), with lentiles rice for a side dish, it also can be as a lunch. Also try the salads and humus, a must in the menu. Prices are ok and everything is so fresh and delicious and very well presented!

A delicious varied menu. Located in a suiting location in the Jewish quarter of Krakow. Very pleasantly decorated with fresh plants everywhere and artsy Israeli/Mediterranean touches. Service was delightful and prices extremely reasonable relative to portions and from a non-Polish Perspective. The fried cheese was delicious. Everything fresh and beautifully served.

Hamsa is eye catching and refreshingly different, we just couldn’t help but be entranced by the huge hamsa hand motif and the slogan ‘hummus and happiness.’ Hamsa’s an Israeli café serving fresh food and hummus(of course!) in the Jewish quarter of Krakow. We sat in the large outdoor area which was super chilled with cushions, chinese lantern style lights and plants. Now, to say I’m a fan of hummus is soft. I LOVEHUMMUS. We went for a hummus dish with garlic and lemon along with some pitta for dipping. So generous and tasty. Perfect as a sharing snack. Mmm. Hummus heaven! And a perfect laid-back stop for tea!

Food was good, but they had run out of 3 main dishes when I went. We sat in the courtyard which had a really nice feel with lanterns and chill music. The hummus is great! Prices weren’t too bad either.

The maze platter that we had here was absolutely first rate. In particular, the three made from Greek yogurt cheese, roasted walnut and pine nut were exceptional. The steak was quite good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was interesting. Highly recommended.

This place is lovely looking, with lots of green plants and cool art on the walls. The plates that the meze come in are shaped like a hamsa and are so pretty. Despite this, I was disappointed in the food. We got hummus with pine nuts and pomegranate, a salsa-like dip, za’atar covered balls of labneh cheese, and cornichons, olives, and pickled peppers. We also got three types of bread, including pita. The pita got hard immediately, and the other two breads were a bit dry. I’ve been to other Israeli restaurants where someone walks around and gives you bread as you eat, this way it is still hot and doesn’t have a chance to get hard. The dips were good, but not great. I’ve had similar food before that is just so much more delicious. It simply was not noteworthy. We also got a soup that was ok. The prices are a little higher than we normally pay(I usually frequent budget restaurants). It’s a little pricey for Krakow.
