I can only speak of my personal experience having gone here twice without eating here. My first time attempting to eat a late lunch or early dinner at approximately 16:00 when literally NOT A SINGLEPERSON in the restaurant they as if we have a reservation. Which, unfortunately I didn’t. They then say it’s impossible to eat there now because they have large groups coming and they’re fully booked for the entire day. They asked if I’d like to make a reservation for another time and I respectfully declined and he offered and recommended that I go there for lunch at 12:00. It won’t be as busy and can definitely do so then. So I figured okay. They’re not at all busy then, would more than likely be done before they’d even have other tables filled. But busy, come on. NOONETHEREBUTSTAFF! Literally and no exaggeration. I arrived there the next day. There was one couple, 2 staff members that paid no attention to us and the waiter of the only two people at the restaurant promptly at 12:00 again asked if we had a reservation. I mentioned we the day before declined the offer because the host the day before recommended we go to lunch at 12:00. The current waiter mentions it is simply not possible that they are fully booked for reservations. For me, that about does it for them. I don’t care if I am starving and they are serving the last meal on earth I will not eat there. They treated us poorly and practically lied to us. It is either a very wealthy person reserved the entire restaurant which I’ve seen done but usually would be mentioned and understandable. But the evening prior I ate at a restaurant across the street with a direct view of the front of their restaurant and not a single person enter or exit their restaurant. Therefore, not a single large party or reservation for a table filled. Unless there is a secret passage way and some type of secret society going on then I don’t recommend this place. A very nice alternative which in my humble opinion more romantic and just 200 years newer than their setting built in the 1400s is Restauracja Galicyjska. Trust me you won’t go wrong. If you still choose to stick with this one. Just make sure you have reservations or know where the secret entrance is and be a member of the secret society.

Fabulous French food in Kraków Three of us had three delightful courses and sent empty plates back to the kitchen. The fois gras was not a terrine(as per the menu) but rather pan fried liver and melt in the mouth Service was excellent I’d heard it could be hot inside and was worried given it had been 35c during the day but it was just fine. If I was back in Kraków I would return here without hesitation.

Good stuff!!! My favourite… Fabulous quality of food and so the service… many years let their customers have great dining experience and also lunch one… I would say they are still rock & rolling with type of menu they have to offer and also very classy– like for well-mannered and experienced with high-levelled people :) Amazing for celebrating something, events and please feel free to– Celebrate in style!!!

Being Polish I am so passionate about the food, the people, the ambiance, so this restaurant really hit it on the nose for me. I mean that literally too, my nose lead us here, the smells of their dishes lured us in from the bustling square. As we were taken downstairs to dine, I fell in love with the candlelit ambiance, quietly tucked away in the cities historical walls. It is a foodies dream dining experience. Summer can be musty in the underground anywhere in the city so upstairs seating is an option, just request and they will provide it for you.

The idea was the place is great. Its a cool little French restaurant underground in what looks like a dungeon. The problem? We went in the summer and it was soo humid down there, it was difficult to enjoy the food. French food is very«heavy». and in order to enjoy that. you cant be hot. They really need a/c in there. Also, it was weird because there were a lot of mosquitos and we were inside. The food was tasty. Not many options. but what we did have was good. I couldnt finish my meal or my wine because of how humid it was. I just wanted cold water and to get out of the dungeon. Sorry Cyrano’s. you need an air conditioner.
