Cosy place with all things potato: baked, pancaked and hashbrowned. Too bad the dish I wanted (peasant potatoes) wasnt available, but I had a delicious potatopancake with smoked salmon and sour cream and my boyfriend the baked potatoe with bacon, spinach and egg. Service was fast and the portions huge, they have an English menu and it’s cheap. Worth a visit!

If you’re visiting Gdansk in the winter and need a cozy place to stop off and fill your belly with something warm, you cannot beat this place. These are the most giant and luscious jacket potatoes I’ve ever seen, and there are about 50 different filling options to choose from. They top your filling with your choice of sauce, and then you spend the next 20 minutes playing your own private version of Man v. Food. Food will win. The Hungarian sausage filling is amazing, as are the chicken fillings. One person at the table simply got beans and cheese sauce, which was hearty in its own right.
The beer is cheap, you can request menus in English, and it’s a lovely meal that will keep you going. The whole place is adorable and cozy and you’ll want to return.

Ich habe heute diese Bar besucht weil sie in meinem reisefuehrer ausdruecklich empfohlen wird.
Mein Fazit: Ein Besuch in diesem Lokal lohnt sich wenn man gut, deftig und preiswert essen moechte.
Von aussen zunaechst wie fast jedes andere Lokal in der ul. Piwna aussehend gibt es doch Unterschiede.
Wie schon hier beschrieben sucht man sich an der Theke sein Gericht und Getraenke aus, zahlt im voraus und setzt sich dann an den Tisch.
Das Essen wird dann von einer der huebschen Kellnerinnen gebracht.
Service: Die Karte liegt in Polnisch, Englisch und Deutsch aus.
Alle Gerichte drehen sich um die Kartoffel, gefuellte Backkartoffeln in zahlreichen Variationen, Kartoffelsuppe, Kartoffelpuffer usw.
Ich hatte mich fuer den Kartoffelpffer Gypsi Style entschieden und bekam einen grossen Kartoffelpuffer
(ca. Dessertellergroesse), zusammengeklappt und mit einer Art Gulasch gefuellt. Dazu 3 verschiedene Salate mit auf dem Teller (Karotten, Sellerie und Kraut), huebsch angerichtet und mit Kresse garniert.
Es schmeckte wirklich super und ich bin gut satt geworden.
Und das fuer 26 Zloty (1 EUR = ca. 4 Zloty)!
Was mir auffiel und was ich als gutes Zeichen werte (nach dem Motto: If you are in Rome do like the Romans do):
Neben mir sassen an 4 Tischen Einheimische mit Familie.
Ach ja: als einziges Manko werte ich die Toilette, sie war zwar sauber aber nicht nach Mann und Frau getrennt, was ich in Gdansk/​Danzig aber auch anderswo erlebt habe. Daher nur 4 statt 5 Sterne.
