Stopped by early on a weekday morning to grab some pastries, and I got great advice about where to get coffee that early in the morning, pastries to try, and places around the area. The pastries were also very tasty (particularly a bread bun with blueberry and cheese inside it, the fylte bolle), but the service I got made the experience that much more enjoyable. Great place to grab pastries in the area.

Love their pastries! Great selection — cinnamon rolls, jam– and custard-​filled pastries, almond pastries, scones, and more. They’re made in-​house every morning, but the full selection may not be available before 8:30/9:00 am (as was our experience on one weekday morning).
Coffee and lattes are respectable but can’t compete with the tried-​and-​true coffee houses in town. The sandwich bar looked impressive. We saw many locals queuing up in the early morning (and figured that this many people just Can’t be wrong).
Also note the upstairs seating (outside patio + indoors). Perfect on a warm summer day.

Das Godt Brod ist ein sehr nettes Café in zentraler Lage von Bergen. Man kann dort gemütlich sitzen und den Leuten draußen auf dem Platz zusehen Es gibt sehr leckeren Kuchen und kleine Gebäckstücke sowie Kaffee und Kakao. Wenn man sich das Fettnäpfchen ersparen mag: es gibt einen Tresen für im-​Haus-​Verkauf und einen Tresen für Sachen zum Mitnehmen.
