The grand ol’ theatre of Wellington. Helped with the renaissance of classier theatres in Welly (as opposed to your blockbuster multiplexes).
It really does feel like a night out after a movie here, especially when it’s full. No other cinema in town creates the atmosphere, before of after the movie.
The screen in the main cinema is the best in Wellington, with Dolby Atmos audio really creates an intense experience for those big films. The seats aren’t the most comfortable in the world so if that’s important to you then get premium tickets. The 2 Deluxe cinemas downstairs are very comfy.

What a gorgeous classic theater. Great leather seating when you buy premium tickets. Nice to have a glass of wine with your movie as well :)
