We are scientists who love being useful, working with our clients to solve the problems that matter to them. Dragonfly Data Science started out as a statistical consultancy, working on fisheries bycatch issues. Since then we have grown into the field of data science: combining our science skills with software engineering to build systems that keep delivering value to our clients.

Business Owner

I was born in Mangaweka, and when I was young I was inspired by the big questions. I studied for a PhD in theoretical physics, then came back to New Zealand to work as an oceanographer. After a while, I felt I wanted to work more directly on problems that mattered to people, and set up Dragonfly as a statistical consultancy.
