The Bay

I’ve only been here for a wedding so I can’t comment on what it’s like day to day — but as an event venue it was pretty cool, I thought. The place itself isn’t huge, but certainly big enough to hold a bunch of tables for dinner, and then a bunch of floor to be danced on later in the night. The bar was well stocked, and the staff behind it were happy to put up with our increasingly rowdy shenanigans as the night went on — though I don’t know how much of this was because we were there for someone’s special day, and how much was their natural pleasantness.
Out the front is quite a nice deck opening out onto an expanse of lawn which is all very scenic, but because this is waterfront the wind can be a problem. Overall this place is pretty classy, though. Do the prices reflect this? Couldn’t say, the wedding covered everything. Aww yeah.

A classy establishment in a prime location. I attended a wedding here and there’s a great decked area outside and plenty of seating/​dancefloor space inside with a completely windowed exterior facing the bay. Beautiful spot for a wedding, though it being windy did make it a bit hard to hear the ceremony and of course blows hairdos about. Although that was nothing compared to the disappointing performance by the celebrant! (Which is, of course, unrelated to the venue.)
The interior of the building was elegantly laid out, as you would expect for a wedding, and the bar was available as well. The open plan area made it great for a seated meal but also made for a suitable dancing area. The bathroom facilities were also of a high standard.
