In my opinion Pilates isn’t exactly the most enjoyable fitness activity. It is however the perfect way to get yourself back into shape or to maintain your fitness in which case Suna Pilates is the place for you. They have experienced and friendly trainers that will make you feel really comfortable no matter what stage you’re at. The gym has two separate studios, each of which has different equipment so that classes really can be tailored to you specifically. You have to book for most classes but its pretty easy to do it online, and they’re never too crowded — usually only a handful of people in each one so you get the most out of the instruction. The workouts are designed to strengthen not only the core muscles but the total body, and in the process build the relationship between the mind and body. They focus quite a lot on controlled breathing and the training also helps to eliminate things like poor posture and back pains. Don’t be fooled by the Pilates«stereotype» these classes are designed to make the muscles burn! Great location — easy to spot from the road and close to the northern motorway Suna Pilates is accessible from any direction and has plenty of parking out the front.
