There are a couple of options for Thai in the CBD, and this new-comer is one to keep an eye on. With friends I checked out the lunch menu and was suitably impressed on all counts. As you might expect, yes, there was the exceptionally polite and appreciative Thai service, even during the express lunch menu. Upon being seated and my water glass filled I was offered a complimentary soup starter, which of course I said yes to. Coconut flavoured and brimming with spice, this light noodle soup was a great start to the meal. I followed this with a meal of green curry chicken, while my friends ordered pad thai and a spicy prawn dish. Overall great service and amazing flavour. When they say hot, they mean hot, so if you are not into spicy food then stay somewhere safer. There is a also a decent wine list and a good selection of beers if you need an alcoholic cool down of the mouth! My friends and I have been back soon, what does that tell you!

As I walked into Thai Eats, I was impressed by the ambiance of the restaurant and the simple yet elegant look of the room. It was perfect for a romantic date with my boyfriend. My boyfriend had booked for a table of two and when we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted warmly with a bow and a smile by the man at the counter. He promptly signaled for a waitress to show us to our table and she did so with grace. I felt like a princess, as every waitress in the restaurant who you walked past would bow and smile at you. When we got to our table the waitress pulled out my chair for me and laid the napkin on my lap. I hadn’t had such service since I was overseas on holiday! She then explained the menu to us and asked us if we wanted to order any drinks. The service was consistent throughout the evening and I was able to relax and unwind while enjoying a beautiful meal.
