STA Travel Auckland University

Yay I actually really love STAtravel, especially the one on Auckland university’s campus. The staff and really friendly and helpful, plus they feel like ‘normal’ people. I felt like I was really just conversing to a proper person, not someone trying to get a commission. The guy who was helping me gave me his honest opinions about prices and actually I didn’t end up booking through them, I bought online… their prices are pretty spot on too (I’d done my homework before I saw them and if I had found something cheaper online they’d generally be able to match it if it didn’t come up on their system). Yeah, these guys are definitely my favourite travel agents round.

I came here while I was doing some planning for an OE. I did not end up using them for my flights but I did buy some travel insurance through them which was the cheapest option that I had researched. After the lady I was talking to found out that I was going to London she told me about her experience living there and what she did for work — she had a live in position at a hotel in the North. She gave me some details about what recruitment company she used, which I did not end up using but appreciated all the same. Good service, and depending on what day of the week it is, good deals on flights.

I have spent a lot of time in this travel agency booking my one year OE to Canada. I found being at Uni and studying it was so conveniently placed as in between classes I would get advise on places to go and see, arrange flights, accommodation, travel insurance, and much more.
I really enjoyed coming here as the staff were roughly the same age as me and had traveled all over the world. It was so nice getting an opinion from someone who is like minded and understands the needs and wants of a 20 year old.
STA is the perfect travel agency to go through if you’re a student wanting to travel. They are very accommodating and help point you in the right direction of the best deals you can get.
If you’re a Uni student wanting to travel I would recommend coming here even just to have a look to see what’s on offer. They have heaps of travel guides you can look through for inspiration or even just curiosity. There is something here for everyone.
