Mt Albert Baptist is a «Come As You Are» Church, but not a «Stay as You Are» Church. We are committed to helping you be a follower of Jesus, whether you are exploring Christianity or have journeyed with Christ for a number of years.

It’s a place to worship. We believe that God is the supreme audience on Sundays and throughout our lives. We want to express fresh appreciation to Him for what he has done and continues to do in our lives.

It’s a place to grow. We want to be transformed into the individuals and community that God dreams for us.

It’s a place to connect. We believe that life change happens best in community. We love being a multi-​cultural and multi-​generational church.

It’s a place to make a difference. We are not consumers of a spiritual product. Rather, God invites us to participate in His mission in the world by serving, giving, and engaging with the world around us so that others can enjoy the wonder of grace.

History

Established in 1915.

2000 years ago, a handful of ordinary people spread the word about the difference Jesus had made in their lives and was able to make in the lives of others. Unbelievably, the movement that began from this rag-​tag group saw churches established throughout the world in a short space of time.

In 1915, two 24 year olds caught that same dream and birthed a new church in Mt Albert — Auckland, designed to impact the local community.

The same dream continues to inspire us today.
