Small(petit), no frills café with delicious coffee and super friendly baristas. At $ 4 for a large, it’s cheaper(and honestly no comparison) to McD! The best part is they don’t charge extra for soy milk! :D

There’s basically three key words for Le Petit: Quick. Cheap. Convenient. It’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee/hot chocolate/chai/whatever strikes your fancy as you bustle on to your CBD destination. I’m no coffee snob, but this stuff does the trick(especially given the reasonable prices). Plus they don’t charge extra for soy milk/decaf(God, I hate when places do that!) With the location directly in front of the Britomart Transportation hub, you’ll definitely find yourself passing by soon. Worth a peek!

Best take away coffee in Auckland. I often stop here in my way from the train to work. Coffee is perfectly strong and only $ 3 for a regular size latte. Staff are friendly and remember order. They also offer a 10 trip ticket for $ 25

This cute little café is situated just outside of Britomart’s Transport Centre, on Queen’s Street. A few times I have caught the train into the city and stopped here first before exploring, shopping, sightseeing, or whatever I am in the big smoke for. I love the location to start with, it is welcoming to everyone, open and on the street with the people. Secondly they make really good coffee! I’m a latte girl and I think they get it down pat, not too strong, not too weak, and not too much useless froth on top! The staff have also been very friendly, chatty and helpful(the first time I went there was my first time in Auckland’s city centre on my own, on foot and ready to explore — note — I moved to this land of the long white cloud last year). So, this is a little booth of a café that do great coffee and are easy to locate. Friendly, helpful staff and I reckon four stars!

I generally like to sit down and mull over a coffee. When I was working full time for a while last year, I was not afforded that luxury and had to grab a coffee on the go like everybody else. I was often deterred by the queues at this places but a woman I worked with recommended it so one day I decided to give it go. I was quite impressed with what I got. A smooth flat white with just the right combination of milk and coffee, it really hit the spot. I began coming here almost every morning while I did my temp stint and would look forward to this little ritual when I got off the bus. My wife has recently moved jobs and is now working in the city. She asked me where she could get a decent coffee before work so I recommeded this place — I just described it as the café outside Britomart as I didn’t know the name of it. Another thing: the staff are really friendly and tend to remember your order after a few visits.

This place would be five stars for sure, if only they didn’t use Vittoria coffee. The women that work here are incredible — friendly, smiley, and with memories like elephants. I’d only be here a handful of times before they know my order pretty much every time. Impressive! Also, they churn out the coffee super fast, which is great for your morning rush, so don’t be put off by a bit of a queue. Also, the prices are very low for Auckland — in fact I think it might be the cheapest decent coffee in town! Perhaps the owner will consider changing to a higher quality bean? With the service, speed, and convenience this place offers, I’d be more than willing to pay a bit more for a top-notch brew.
