The beer was cold. Her favorite part was the wine. I had a good beer of there own brand. But the show stopper was the pork ribs. They fell off the bone and the sauce was sweet. Probably top 5 ribs I have ever eaten! Would recommend to family!

Great view, great craft beer and great food! Three perfect combination at Waiheke outside winery vineyard! Local restaurant slightly hidden on Oneroa village. If you want to experience something little different from usual winery restaurant scene in Waiheke, this place is good to chill, relax and enjoy the food with million dollar view. Great for group as well! If you like sharing, recommend the platters!!! Good portion to share. Cormandel paddle platter for meat lovers and fishermans basket platter for seafood lovers. Try local craft beers that you won’t find it at usual bars. The restaurant is not too big, so good to go bit early to get the best seat close to the view.

Beautiful views out over Oneroa. They do all you can eat ribs once a month which looks like a hoot! Nice place to sit for an afternoon in the sunshine quaffing on a few beers sharing a platter with friends :)

Two of us came in as we waited for a Zipline tour. Got the Surf & Turf platter that was plenty for two. I got wine, my partner a beer. Friendly service and a gorgeous view from any seat in the house. Calamari was super fresh, the ribs sweet and tasty. Recommended!

I was pulled in by the beautiful view. And the silly row boat full of pillows you can sit and sip in. My brother ordered some 7% alcohol beer withe a crazy-bad ass name that escapes me. I got a Lake Chalice pinot gris from Marlborough, which was simply devine and exactly what I needed on a hot summer day after walking around and sightseeing for hours. We must have hit happy hour, because our drinks were $ 1.50 off. We did not order food, so I can only rate the restaurant on the service and drinks, but we were very happy to have found this secret, hillside gem.

Best food we had in our short stay in Auckland. Great beer too. As another review said, simple but high quality. Good deal with lunch for tacos + a pint for $ 20.

Food was simple but nice. Lamb koftas were great, ribs were a bit too sweet for my tastes but had great texture and otherwise were delicious. Atmosphere is really cool, laid back. Staff were friendly but a little too busy to come get our order which was ok as we just ordered at the bar. Great views and right in the centre of Oneroa. Will come back. Good beer available.

I’m a big fan of Cove after a recent visit — huge portions, great beer, and happy atmosphere. After the sun goes down and the vineyards close around 4pm there’s not many decent places to grab dinner on Waiheke, but Cove — situated on Oneroa’s main strip — covers the gap. The place was opened up this year by Browns Bay’s Deep Creek Brewing Co, so the beer — which includes a whisky-infused scotch ale — is top notch. On our last visit we sampled the Under Current pilsner and the Pontoon in a Monsoon pale ale — my pick and highly recommended. And if you’re starving after a day sampling a little wine at Waiheke’s vineyards, or if you’re sick of the scrawny portions served in most establishments, then this is the place for you… I had the fish of the day and my partner the scotch fillet, plus we got the calamari to start(yes, kinda embarrassing but we finished it all). All in all it’s a standard gastro-pub menu, but everything was perfectly done and no complaints from us! Service was casual and friendly, and there’s often live music — an entertaining Latin American band playing when we went — so it’s a nice easy place to go with friends. Drawbacks: the place gets minimal afternoon sun, plus make sure you book for dinner because the small space books up fast — we’ve twice missed out! As a Waiheke local, I’ll definitely be back for more.
