I chose the Celestion Waldorf because it as affordable and central, and it fit the bill perfectly. I was not able to check in when I got there, which was quite early, but was able to store my bag until check-in at around 1pm. This was because the hotel was completely filled the night before. My room was huge — an office(which can serve as a second bedroom if need be), living room, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and bedroom, all with two balconies. It was all clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all you need aside from an oven — full fridge, microwave, stovetop, and dishes/cookware. To relax, there was a big, comfortable couch and a flat screen TV with a decent number of channels. The walk to the ferry terminal was about 10 minutes. There are plenty of places to get food and drink nearby, as well as some convenience stores for snacks and drinks. The Indian restaurant co-located inside the hotel is quite good, but not amazing or anything like that. Internet was $ 8 per day, which was great. It was quick and wireless, but may or may not be wireless in all rooms.

We stayed at the Waldorf Apartments on the opening day of the Rugby world cup. We figured there is no point driving in and out of town in the traffic plus nobody wanted to miss out on all the fun. We checked in went to check the opening ceremony then went back to the hotel for some drinks and to get ready for a night of dancing. It was the perfect location because it wasn’t too far away from town. The hotel room had 2 bedrooms, a lounge and a kitchen, giving it a homey feel plus there was plenty of room for all of us and the friends that we just wouldn’t allow to drive home.
