It would have to be something special to make me walk all the way down here for a coffee, drawing me away from the office for too long. Fortunately for Barabra Café & Bar they have Award winning coffee and a fabulous location on the ‘sunny side’ of Princes wharf. They offer so much more than just(damn good) coffee and having smelt the food being prepares I really need to come back and start an evening with some Quesadilla and/or Pizza. To end a night out(or opulent lunch), they also offer cigars and beer, that would be a treat and might nudge the rating up to a full bore 5.

Barabra is one of those places that make you glad you ventured off the beaten track. Situated on Princes Wharf, it’s near enough to the viaduct action while still being peaceful. They serve delicious coffee and pizza, and often have a few sweet treats from a local baker in the cabinet. Sit out beside the water, watch boats and people glide past — everyone seems to be on holiday here and you’ll feel just the same. It’s perfect in the morning, or lap up the evening sun with a glass of wine. A great option for any time of day, on your own or with friends, the lovely people at Barabra always make you feel comfortable.
