Bar 18 is hillarious, without necessarily trying to be. When it first opened, it was a pool hall — but there obviously wasnt quite as much demand as the owners expected, as it has now become a Karaōke bar with a few pool tables, and a big area for«dancing.» They have a range of sizes of Karaōke rooms — from small to large, and they are priced accordingly, ranging from 45 an hour to 130. This seems quite expensive, but it is all worth while when you click on to the machine and find that it is all in chinese, and there are very few English songs. You have to guess at what each button does, untill you suddenly find yourself in the English section, which is where the real fun begins. Each song has a fake seemingly fan-made video, so you can be singing«total eclipse of the heart» while on the screen two young archetypal europeans frolic on a golden sand beach. They have a wide range of drinks which aren’t too expensive, if I remember correctly beers were only 6 dollars. It’s a good place to take a group of friends after you’ve had a few too many BYO drinks at a restaurant on the strip.
