Golden Tulip Resort Hotel Inntel

Pitiful accommodation right out the 1950s. A twin-​sized bed like in a college dorm room, a 12″ TV from 1975, a small shower and bath from the 1940s. No shower curtain to prevent water from getting everywhere. I didn’t expect air-​conditioning because the climate is so mild. I was disappointed in there not being an ironing board and iron after travelled from the US. No ice machine which is key for is from the US. There was an iron available outside the gym and the elevator bay in the basement but it was in bad shape.
The grounds are beautiful and the complementary breakfast had some excellent pastries. Note for US travelers don’t expect pancakes, eggs and bacon like you are used to.
Additional note for all. If you are in town for the 4 Day march you will be awoken at 4am by music and bands. Not great after arriving at midnight as I had no idea that I should have put in my ear plugs. Also, I spent $ 40 – 50 per taxi ride for the office. It would have been far cheaper to have a car. Normally the train from the airport and taxi is fine outside of non-​festival time.
If you want to go into the town center for the festival at night this is a convenient location.
For the money this hotel was not a value at all. I spent $ 300/​night during the march. I wish I had known further ahead that this hotel was so bad. I would have stayed outside of town and possibly in Germany and driven in everyday.

Das Hotel ist auch ein Tennisplatz, SquashCenter und eine Bowlingbahn in dem man auch noch saunieren und schwimmen kann. Das Zimmer war klein aber für den Preis völlig okay. Nette MittarbeiterInnen und ein normal gutes Frühstück runden den guten Eindruck ab. Einzig die Hotelbar ist mehr ein eine Sportsbar. Wer es nicht mag zwischen verschwitzten Tennisspielern zu sitzen muss ins Zentrum fahren. Das liegt aber 3 km entfernt.
