East Bar & Bites

My experience with East Bar & Bites is pretty limited. I didn’t try any of the food so I can’t speak on that. However, what I did experience of this place was very pleasant and I’d be happy to revisit the next time I’m back at Schiphol!
~ Atmosphere:
Like most places at an airport, East Bar & Bites has a very classy feeling to it. It’s wide open, meaning it’s not in its own little sectioned restaurant. It can feel a bit crowded, but at airports I always enjoy to do a little people watching. Beware though, it’s right next to a smoking room so if you’re sensitive to cigarette smoke I advise not sitting too close to that side of the bar.
~ Customer Service:
Really where the 4 stars comes from. I ordered a drink, so like I said I have a very limited experience but the staff was so pleasant I’d be really happy to return. I was greeted with a smile by a young woman wearing a hijab. The stars go to her! She not only greeted me immediately, but was very helpful when I asked what kind of whiskey they had since the menu wasn’t in front of me. After she took my order, it wasn’t much long later she brought the drink directly to my table. All in all, a really lovely woman to deal with and a great asset for East Bar & Bites to have since great service helps calm down the high-​stress environment of an airport!
~ Drink:
I wasn’t very hungry so didn’t sample the menu but I had a Jack Daniels in Diet Coke which cost me a little over 6 euro. Not bad for airport prices in my opinion, I was expecting something more dire than that.
The drink was interestingly enough brought out with a glass of whiskey separate from the Diet Coke, which was provided in a small jug like the kind you get for your milk when you order tea. It was pretty cool because I was able to adjust my own level of strength based on my preference rather than let it be decided for me!
From what I can tell, they had a full bar stocked as well so there’s plenty of variety to choose from based on what you fancy.

Given my own great experience, however limited, I’d be well happy to revisit this place and maybe even give their food a shot next time around. Football was played on their television for entertainment.

Best latte I’ve had for a long time, and I drink at least one per day

Small coffee and tea bar annex Japanese mini restaurant. Conveniently located at the entrance of the F departure hall. Quality is decent … but pricy! Good for an early morning coffee and breakfast or a quick snack for lunch. Pleasant seating area and efficient service.
