This restaurant was very friendly and welcoming with wonderful food. Family owned for 21 years by a Sicilian family. The mom is cooking in the kitchen and the son and daughter take care of the guests. We were happy to find authentic Italian food in Rotterdam. We will be back.

Our favourite restaurant on Rotterdam, we keep on coming back here & even had our wedding dinner here.
Family-​run & the owners are so friendly and really care about the food. I usually take the fillet steak & it’s always perfectly cooked. And the spaghetti on the side is a guilty pleasure.

People are very nice and you really feel like you’re in Italy for few hours. But the risotto I took was a disaster… (uncooked rice, bouillon remaining in the plate and salad in the rice???).
My girlfriend took ravioli which were good. I don’t know about the different pasta they have but it looked good.
The courses with meat were all 20 €+ I guess that make sence when you see the price of meat in the Netherlands but still…
I honestly think that the restaurant is worth more than 3⁄5 but the quality of my main course was so low that I couldn’t give a good mark.

Hier kocht «la mama».
Absolut authentisch, einer der führenden Italiener in Rotterdam. Dazu noch zentral gelegen direkt am Hauptbahnhof.
Aber im Vordergrund steht ganz klar echte italienische Koch– und Lebenskunst.
Hier bekommt man auch nicht einfach Parmesan auf die Pasta, wenn man das möchte, sondern nur, wenn das auch nach italienischen Maßstäben ok ist.
Reservierung ist stets zu empfehlen !
