Went to the newly opened Papas Beach House. Visually, there is great potential here; right on the lake, outdoor seating, beach house feel. But the menu is ridiculously limited. In fact, you are permitted to order only one thing. And it isn’t cheap (23.50 euros). The way it works is you are required to receive an appetizer sampler plate, and then pick amongst several entrees (e.g. salmon, rib-​eye, burger, etc). No ala carte, no exceptions. I had the burger, which was pretty good. However, it doesn’t matter that I was not interested in an appetizer, much less a sampler plate of them… it all comes together. Service was slow, but friendly. The kitchen was really, really slow… nearly 45 minutes for a burger… and they were not that busy.

Salsa music, and spaghetti? Bowling and catfish? Hotplates at the tables and fillet mignon? I’m not sure what the attempted motif was; admittedly, this was my first Cuban restaurent; but I don’t think that was it. Sparse menu, limited beer selection; but, the food we ordered was good so 2 instead of 1 star.
