Tromp is a chain, but I still think this particular one is the finest cheese shop in The Netherlands. They have a huge selection of cow, goat, sheep, etc cheeses of all ages, and a fabulous assortment of snacks for when you have guests over or just want to indulge. If you’re not sure what to get, there are always ten or more samples in the store, and they will let you try anything else too.
Special recommendations:
— The cheese crisps
— The Roggebrood en oude kaas dominoes
— Their saucijzenbroodjes, freshly made, heated up in the oven
— Their dairy products like the yogurt
Such nice people too, though the kaasboer is such a convincing salesman, you may walk out with a lot more cheese than you bargained for!
