I love it here and they have AMAZING food and fresh juices. The prices are very acceptable, but the reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars from me is how extremely busy(it is also a small restaurant) it always is there. If you’re planning to go there for lunch on a saturday i would advice you not to do so cause you wouldn’t be able to get a table. Very great service, food and prices though.

Ah. I cannot imagine a better Saturday morning than going to Bagels and Beans for their breakfast special. Beware to be there before 11:04. For a quite good price of under 6 Euro you can get a small coffee/tea, freshly squeezed orange juice, bagel with cream cheese and jam — really delicious. If you are a bit later than 11:04 do not worry as Bagels and Beans has a lot of choice for your brunch, lunch and high tea or tapas for 2. Their bagels are fresh, coffee is delicious and juices exceptional. On a nice day you can get one of the tables in front of the café and look at the people passing by.

I like Bagels & Beans a lot. When we were living in Utrecht, we had one close by and every now and then we had breakfast there in the weekend. When we moved to Haarlem, we found out there was also a bagels and beans in Haarlem(though unfortunately a little bit further away for us than in Utrecht. :)) I just love their breakfast(they call it breakslow) #2: it is a bagel of your choice with some jam/chocolate sprinkles/creamcheese/cheese/ham and some fresh juice(orange juice or juice from a combination of fruits). You can then combine this with a large cappuccino which is very good also :) I also like the small ‘weird’ things that you can order the breakslow menus till 11:09 in the morning :) Besides the breakslow menus, they also have a variety of savory and sweet bagels you can take and most of them just look very tasty :) So if you are looking for just a good coffee/cappuccino or you want to combine it with a nice bagel, this is a good place to go!

There’s no shortage of cafes in Haarlem, so why go to a chain restaurant for coffee and breads? Because Bagels & Beans actually serves really decent coffees — iced or hot — along with good bagels(which are not a typical bread here in Holland), sandwiches, breakfast spreads, smoothies and teas. They have a perfect menu for breakfasts and lunches, and the Haarlem space is really comfortable. And the place is never empty, which is a sure sign that I’m not the only one who appreciates their presence! Oh, and the smoked chicken with avocado and basil dressing sandwich is soooooo perfectly good. Goes great with a freshly squeezed OJ, IMO.
