A great place to have a healthy breakfast. My husband had «Fruit & Granen Ontbijt» which is basically sheep yogurt with fruits on the top & I had «Geweldige Havermout» which is warm and creamy oatmeal on the bottom and fruit on the top. Both are super healthy and filled us up. Definitely we recommend this café.

Great place to come for lunch or just hangout with a cup of coffee or tea. If you’re a writer or you work from home and want to get out of the house, Anne & Max have lots of plugs for your computer so you can enjoy the surroundings, have a drink or a bite to eat, and still be plugged in! Also great just if your phone needs a charge over lunch :) good eats, really friendly service, definite recommend.

Cool place for a coffee when in Haarlem. They have a variety of coffee, thee and some patisseries. My cappucino was relatively good and I liked spending my time there.

Zunächst fällt das sehr junge Personal und das moderne Lokal auf. Preislich ist Anna&Max nicht unbedingt günstig, dafür sind das Ambiente und die angebotenen Speisen und Zutaten jeden Cent wert.
Wir haben gefrühstückt und das Café war gut gefüllt. Die Tische sind sehr klein und für ein normales Frühstück kommt man auf dem Tisch schnell an seine logistische Grenze. Glücklicherweise könnten wir ein paar Teller auf dem freien Tisch nebenan abstellen.
Meinen Freundin hatte das Veggie Club Sandwich mit einem Kaffee. Ich hab das Een Goed Begin bestellt, in dem Orangensaft und Kaffee enthalten war. Ich hatte die Variante mit Lachs, Spinat und Ei bestellt, aber Bacon bekommen. Das kann sicher mal vorkommen, war aber ungünstig, da es mittlerweile im Laden sehr geschäftig zuging. Somit war meine Freundin mit ihrem Frühstück fertig, bevor ich mein bestelltes Essen bekommen habe…

Lovely quality gourmet coffee. For a peek hour Saturday brunch, we managed to find a table and the service was quite friendly and fast. Sandwiches were quite fresh with a nice mix of flavours. Would definitely recommend this place. It has a nice ambience, animal friendly, child friendly :)

To add to how amazing this place is, after coming here for years, this morning the coffee was a bit watery so I mentioned it as we were leaving to one of the staff. Immediately we got a filled in loyalty card which is good for a large warm drink for the next time! Now that’s what I call customer service. Amazing!!!

Great for breakfast, the mint tea is amazing, the coffee perfect, and the French baked eggs delightful. The yogurt (3 kinds available) with fruit and grain got rave reviews from my companions.

Good place to start the day with a nice breakfast, although you need to have the time. Very slow service, friendly but slow. Perhaps they need to start with their rather nice espresso before opening up ;-)
Breakfast menu has limited options, croissants or muesli with fruit and yoghurt but both are good.

A great place for breakfast, right near Haarlem’s central square. Nice atmosphere, very good coffee, good food. The «excellent Breakfast» is excellent — scrambled egg with bacon and some herbs with small rolls, tomatoes with mozzarella and basil and fresh squeezed orange juice. We came back morning after morning.

Anne & Max is a fine little place to grab a coffee and sandwich, or a dessert and a champagne if you like! Modern, busy and cozy all at the same time, I do like this place and would recommend it. And the surrounding shopping on this street is getting better and better… so take an afternoon to wander the area and enjoy!

A nice coffee shop where you can also have lunch. I almost gave this place only three stars because of the really really slow service, but the food and the drink is pretty good so I will let the service part slide.
There have all kinds of drinks from coffee to fresh juice to smoothies. Everything I’ve had there has been pretty good. Today I tried the food for the first time. I had a blue cheese and peer chiabatta sandwich. Wow, it was pretty good. I haven’t tried their pastries yet but will have to do that someday. They all look really good.

Great service, who is fluent in english, really good coffee (as most of the times in NL) and tasty sandwiches with loads of fresh stuff. Not overly expensive: Toasted sandwich with cheese, ham and tomato-​cinnamon salsa: 4,90EUR. Will come back soon!
